“It's a very nice place in walking distance from the train station. The room was spacious with a big terrace and large bathroom. Our hosts were wonderful and accommodating last minute requests to help with reduced mobility, providing advice on places to see and how to reach them without own transport. I would certainly stay there again to explore more of the area.”
“Spending a night at the zoo felt absolutely magical! As a family with an 11-year-old, I don’t think we’ve ever stayed anywhere more unique or memorable. Walking around the grounds in the quiet morning hours before visitors arrived, and again in the calm of the evening after the zoo closed, felt so special — those moments with the animals are something we’ll never forget.
We booked the largest room available, which was still quite small, but it was clean and comfortable. Right outside our door there was a spacious common area with couches, big tables, a water dispenser, and a fridge, so we actually spent a lot of time there when we weren’t sleeping.
Breakfast was a real highlight. They prepared a lovely brunch-style plate, and the freshly made crêpes were honestly the best I’ve ever had in all my travels. The coffee, eggs, bacon, and salad were all delicious — not a single thing to complain about.
While it might not be the most practical place for a long stay, for a one-night experience it was absolutely perfect. I’d especially recommend it for families with kids — truly unforgettable.”
“The host was very nice and allowed me to check in early as my train arrived late in the morning. The room was very clean and only a short walk to most attractions in Sigulda. Really enjoyed my stay here.”
“Vince and Inguna are super nice people. We felt instantly at home. The house is very homey as well. It is beautiful and was super clean.
The kitchen is for everyone and has everything we needed. We had the room with the balcony, a bathroom and a comfortable bed!
We almost did not leave the property during our three nights stay because we felt so relaxed there. We’d love to come back more frequently to stay a couple of days! It’s just so far from Spain..
Thank you two for the great experience and the tips on where to go during our stay. It was so nice to meet the both of you! 🌻”
“Lovely place to stay, short walk from the train station with views across the park. Really comfy bed with super soft pillows. Really close to restaurants too. Thank you!”
“We completely agree with the previous reviews: this is a gorgeous property with a majestic atmosphere, like a manor. The main house is beautifully designed with artistic touches, spacious and cozy rooms, and everything is spotlessly clean – not a single stain or speck of dust anywhere. The surrounding grounds are vast, well-maintained, and blend beautifully with nature. There’s a basketball court, beach volleyball court, slackline, and even a swimming pond for diving and cooling off.
What made our stay extra special was the romantic private sauna experience we booked for an additional fee. It included two large candle-lit rooms and a cold plunge pool to cool down after the hot steam – absolutely perfect. There’s also the option to book a hot tub or barrel sauna for an extra charge.
Although the large swimming pool was under renovation during our visit, there was still so much to enjoy. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us a quick tour of the huge house. On the ground floor, there are plenty of games – board games, cards, table tennis, and even a carrom board. The villa also has several halls suitable for weddings or large events, plus a spacious terrace and balcony with breathtaking views of the Latvian countryside. Honestly, it felt like we were staying in an Italian villa!
The shared kitchen is fully equipped, including two large fridges, and the entire area is perfect for grilling and relaxing. You can also take long walks around the several hectares of land.
Very good price and quality ratio!
All in all, this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommended!”
