  “Situated in the serene Résidence la Palmeraie and surrounded by the lush vegetation of the mature gardens of the Résidence, chez Jacques is lovely tranquil base from which to explore the area around Cap Skirring. The rooms are well furnished with super-comfortable beds and the sitting/dining/kitchen area is well-equipped. You also have access to the Résidence’s beautiful pool and the beach is a mere 3 minutes’ walk. Jacques himself is the perfect host, happy to help with all our needs - ordering meals to be delivered, booking restaurants and taxis and even accompanying us on an excursion into the mangrove. We were sorry not to be able to stay longer and hope to return soon. Thank you, Jacques!”

  “A beautiful old building with wonderful architecture - yes, it has come of age a bit, but it's still absolutely lovely. With seafront restaurant, an elevated stone gazebo, and plenty of space to sunbathe and hang out. And all that of course located right by the beautiful (and mostly quite empty) sunset beach. You can walk along the beach to some other bars and restaurants if you wish, or just stay here. Rooms are simple but nice, have a small outdoor area, everything works just fine. The restaurant is good, reasonably priced food and drinks and nice flexible service. Overall, an absolutely lovely quiet place to stay right by the beach with friendly people, lovely dogs, and a very attention-hungry cute cat.”

  “It’s the second tile we came as we live this place! Julio is simply the best host we’ve ever met and has the hand of his heart. His Friday’s evening buffet hare just great and it’s the only place on the coast where you can eat original Italian pizza and home made delicious ice cream. We’d recommend this place to anyone who want to feel at him in Casamance :-)”
