    “Beautiful location on a more secluded island in front of a natural reserve. The views from the guest house and the room is exceptional. Omar who took us from and to everywhere on his beautiful boat through the Nile was helpful, kind and very patient with us and our times. He helped us with everything we needed and took us at 4am to the dock for Abu Simbel. If you like adecenture and more secluded places, this is for you!”

    “Wow! Members of the staff here are treating you like a member of the family! They always made sure I had everything I needed and made sure I was ok when I was out and about away from the hotel. Special thank you to Marina and Dina, they were the best and I will gladly come back to see them! The pools were a perfect way to relax after a day out exploring. The food was delicious! I definitely recommend this place if you want something calm to recharge your batteries away for the city centre.”

    “The hotel is in a privileged location, with stunning views of the Nile and direct access down a set of stairs. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful, perfect to relax. The room was excellent: spotless, cozy, and tastefully decorated. Asmaa, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She also cooks wonderfully – if you’re lucky enough to try her traditional homemade food, you’ll truly enjoy it. The breakfasts were fantastic too, and one morning she even prepared a takeaway breakfast for our excursion. I absolutely recommend this place and would love to stay here again”

    “We were thrilled with our stay at the Basma Hotel, Aswan. From the moment I made the booking, Reham, one of the concierges, went out of her way to take care of our needs, and booked tours and taxis for us at a very fair price. She was flexible, conscientious and kept in close contact via WhatsApp to ensure everything was going smoothly. She was the best concierge I’ve ever come across, and gave a much better service than I’ve experienced in more expensive hotels! The hotel was very comfortable, clean , well located with a large pool and tasty food. The restaurant manager was friendly and accommodating, although the service was a little slow, so order ahead of feeling really hungry! We were able to take breakfast to go as our trip to Abu Simbel was an early start. All the staff were friendly and prompt to turn around laundry and ironing, which was also good value.”

    “You can't get any closer to the Nile without being in the Nile! Very clean, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and very charming waiting staff catering to our every wish. They waited for us with a cake for our honeymoon which was incredibly generous and made us feel so welcome and at home. What a great place to call home in Aswan. Thank you everyone!!”
