How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewI have a complaint about some of the staff’s attitudes towards me, which I really hope it gets resolved and not repeated with other guests in future … Unfortunately, I got treated so badly by the staff, especially the security guard outside, who insisted that I put my bag in the machine even after I told him that I had a device related to my work and I made it clear to him that I am not comfortable with putting it, then he saw a Bag that said “candles” in my hand and he tried to stop me at the front door and not let me proceed to my room, and he treated me badly and almost violated my personal space, even after I apologized about not knowing the policy and promised him I won’t use the candles throughout my stay, “sorry but he didn’t deserve the apology and the promise” because unfortunately, he kept me in his head and told the other staff about me, “although I am an owner of a room for 3 nights and I paid around 2000 riyals for it”, then when I proceeded to my room and didn’t answer him, 2 of the hotel staff followed me right to the room and even when I had my DND button on, they followed me to the room and kept calling my room’s door phone and knocking on the door and asking me to come out just to give them the candles so that they can keep it with them with the front door security until I got out, which I finally agreed to do so that I can be able to sit calmly and get some rest .. In conclusion, unfortunately they made a big mess out of a very small issue and ruined my last day and made me feel uncomfortable and sad just because of this …

I recently stayed at your hotel and would like to share some honest feedback. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet the expectations I had for a property of your reputation. While the hotel itself is impressive in size and design, the overall atmosphere felt empty and uninspiring. There were many staff members present, yet very little proactive engagement. I was rarely approached or informed about what the hotel offers, which left me feeling disconnected and unsure of how to make the most of my stay. In terms of activities, there was very little to do. Aside from the pool which seemed more suited for children there were no clear options or guidance on available experiences. It felt like being in a large, elegant space with no direction, and no one to help navigate it. The experience reminded me of an old-school hotel with a beautiful setting but lacking the warmth, communication, and energy that make a stay memorable. I hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience going forward.

Verified reviewAmazing hotel what makes this is the staff who are amazing professional and always eager to help. Rooms are massive, pool area is nice and clean. The food is plentyful.

Walking to the Mall is very dangerous with no pavement and the continuous stink of smoke in the main lobby areas from the smoking which is permitted in the completely open cafe/lounge area is not something that should be happening in 2025.

Verified reviewEverything was perfect! We were celebrating our honeymoon, and they kindly upgraded our room—which was absolutely spectacular, just like the rest of the facilities. You don’t even need to leave the hotel; there’s so much included and available on-site (Spa, Gym, Indoor/Outdoor Pool, Private Beach, Farm Animals, Restaurants). The buffet breakfast was incredible. On our final morning, we had an early flight and didn’t make it to breakfast but the staff organised food for us to take away to the airport. The service from all the staff was outstanding, and the welcome sweet was a lovely touch. We loved our first time in Doha.

Verified reviewThis hotel truly deserves every bit of praise. The staff responded instantly to any request and always went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The reception team was absolutely flawless, housekeeping was top-notch, and the breakfast was simply amazing. The pool staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive — their warm attitude made every moment by the pool even more pleasant. Highly recommended!
However, there is one concern that shouldn't be overlooked. The hotel has a small zoo on its grounds, and unfortunately, the animals there are kept in poor conditions. During the unbearable Qatari heat, there are no visible cooling systems in their enclosures, which is simply unacceptable. We hope the hotel management will take action to improve the welfare of the animals as soon as possible.
