Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. From the moment we walked in all the staff were so welcoming and kind. We got upgraded to a late check out. Room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a nice little balcony overlooking the old town. Great location, super clean.

I had an amazing stay at the Alwadi Hotel. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a celebrity—many of the staff recognised me from my previous visits, which made me feel truly special. I was even given a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. Before my arrival, I requested a yoga mat and was told it would be available in the spa and gym. When I couldn’t find one there, I let the staff know right away. They responded quickly, not only bringing one to me but also placing a mat in my room. Their attention to detail was impressive. Every staff member I interacted with—from reception and housekeeping to the breakfast team—was outstanding. I stayed from August 8th to August 15th, and everyone on duty during that time went above and beyond to make my visit comfortable and enjoyable. I wish I could name each person individually, but they all know who they are. Their kindness and professionalism made my stay unforgettable.

At the same time the Hotel has great facilities for meetings and social gatherings. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious and spic and span. All in all a great stay.

AustraliaOur particular bugbear as travellers is the lack of 2 armchairs for resting after a full day of walking around city sights. On a number of occasions our room was not serviced until mid afternoon which was inconvenient as we needed a rest after experiencing 47 degree heat!
The breakfast was delicious and included a wide variety of foods for all tastes. The staff were very welcoming and Mr Moys in particular greeted us each day as though we were good friends. The hotel location was very good being a few hundred metres from Souq Waqif where we dined at the stunningly decorated Parisa Restaurant. Across the road was the free local tram that took us to the nearby 4 Msheireb museums which covered the fascinating history of QATAR. Our favourite concierge ever was Emmanual who provided lots of information, booked our dinner reservation at Parisa and most of all provided a surprise 57th wedding anniversary goodies platter in our room. His good humour and caring attitude was second to none! He made us feel very special.

The location was excellent for my one night’s stay as I particularly wanted to visit the Museum of Islamic Art. It also had very easy access to the Souq. The staff I met were exceptional. They were very helpful and friendly. The doormen especially made me feel welcome. My in room service included an extra treat which was appreciated. I arrived very early in the morning after a long flight. I sppreciated the hotel allowing me to access my room later in the morning rather than usual time in the afternoon. . The day I visited was particularly hot so I wasn’t able to do as much as I would have liked particularly. The hotel was a very nice cool retreat.
