Friendly staff, secure with large lockers (bring a padlock), close to centre, decent kitchen, space to socialise, hot water, good WiFi. I'd stay again.

All good for me. Be aware: smoking allowed in kitchen!

200 / 5 000 I stayed here for one night before leaving for the airport early. The owner is extremely kind and attentive. This place is a good value for money.

I was robbed as I waited to get in. I do not recommend it. Shite.

    Property response:

Sir, are you sick? You're telling me a strange story, and your behavior is odd. You have to be a real idiot to get robbed in Asunción. Could it be that someone asked you for change and you got scared and soiled your pants? And next, a person who's been robbed usually seeks shelter, doesn't pull out their phone (which, surprisingly, wasn't stolen) to cancel a reservation and make another one. And second, if we assume you were robbed, I don't understand what the hostel has to do with it? Maybe in England, hostel owners run to catch thieves, the police work in hospitals, and doctors work in plumbing, but in my civilized country, hostel owners work in hostels, doctors treat people, and thieves are caught by the police. You can go to the police website and rate their service. But what does the hostel have to do with your safety problems on the street? And the most interesting thing, how could you rate the staff, facilities, and services, the comfort of a hostel you've never been to? The comfort of a bed you've never slept in! So I ask again: Are you sick?

Room had air conditioning for the warm days and kitchen was well equipped! Large storage space in the room for bags.

They didn't give me a key to get in the building and more than once they were not home to let me back into the hostel. I had to wait outside for someone to come back to let me in.

    Property response:

There are people available at the hostel 24/7. Maybe you don't know how to use the doorbell? Or you're Jewish and can't ring the doorbell on Shabbat?

You get what you pay for! Good location.

Ants in the room, bed frame dusty with spider webs. Bathroom a little dated and set up outside - had some insect friends watch me take a shower 😅 Had to have the host open the door for me every time I go out/come back.

is riight in the center clouse to everithin thw kitchen

    Property response:

It's a nightmare, but you've extended your stay several times, so you're a masochist? First time I hear someone complain that the air conditioning works fine, and I allow it to be used 24 hours a day! And if it bothered you, why couldn't you turn it off? The bathroom is 15 meters from the room. Does it bother you to burn a couple of calories to walk 15 meters? Do you prefer to shit in the bed itself? The house is beautiful, old, built in colonial style, well painted and maintained. You know, the White House in Washington D.C. is 80 years older than mine, but all the presidents of the United States consider it an honor to live there. But why don't you tell the truth? You gave yourself a bad grade and a bad comment because they kicked you out for being dirty. It seems that your parents didn't teach you that you have to clean up after yourself. Why did you get drunk like a pig and because you were drunk you ended up sleeping in the yard, breaking installations? Good luck!

Location is good to Central historic district. Good cooking facilities. Decent bathrooms. Appreciated the air conditioning as the weather was quite hot. Friendly crowd. Uber taxis are cheap and reliable.

You have to ask someone to open the door every time you need to exit the building.

    Property response:

It was a pleasure to welcome you! A very nice lady with a good sense of humor. You are always welcome here!

Cool hostel, kind of a "chill hippie" vibe. Mostly long-stay guests and volunteers, so a very social atmosphere (Spanish-speaking). Comfy beds with curtains in the dorms. Manager and volunteers are great. Free filtered water. Large kitchen. Very clean place. Hot showers.

They have to manually unlock and then re-lock the main door every time you enter or leave. So to just "pop out and get something" is a really arduous process of finding the person, waiting for them to unlock it, then waiting for them again when you come back. For that reason alone I went to a different hostel, couldn't stand it. It's also a huge fire hazard - you'd be trapped inside the building with no way to leave. They could easily buy a digital lock with a code.

    Property response:

Dear Mochileroo, The door to the house is closed for obvious security reasons, and whenever someone wishes to enter or exit, a person is systematically present, to simply turn the key in the lock, without the need for a process as you describe it, and for 24 hours. The door is made of wrought iron and classified "heritage element", it is not allowed to modify. And there is a very wide emergency exit next to the sanitary block. Anyway, we thank you for your comment, and hope that your stay at our hostel was pleasant! Wish you a good trip to Asunción!

This place has all you need for a short or long term stay.

Smoking in the kitchen and dinning room is enough to make me choose another place.

Nice kitchen. Aircon was very good in the dorm room. It had curtains on the bunk beds. Bunk had private outlet and light. Bring your padlock for storage locker.

Swimming pool was wimpy. Above ground plastic.

Very hot in common space but our double bed room was quite cool with air conditioning on , still it was very loud while running. Kitchen was clean. You can leave you bagpack for free until 4pm, after you get chargers 10k guaranies per bag

Shower and toilets felt « rustic » . People drink and smoke a lot in common area and it gives a strange atmosphere.
