It's a nightmare, but you've extended your stay several times, so you're a masochist? First time I hear someone complain that the air conditioning works fine, and I allow it to be used 24 hours a day! And if it bothered you, why couldn't you turn it off? Dear Mochileroo, The door to the house is closed for obvious security reasons, and whenever someone wishes to enter or exit, a person is systematically present, to simply turn the key in the lock, without the need for a process as you describe it, and for 24 hours. The door is made of wrought iron and classified "heritage element", it is not allowed to modify. And there is a very wide emergency exit next to the sanitary block.
