The pool at 6th floor, where you could smoke and have a good beer.

Sometimes it took 30 minutes to get what you ordered

Dated but sufficient. The musty carpet smell of the lobby thankfully did not continue in my room. Breakfast was the same each day, however, done well enough to be enjoyed. The rooftop pool was a great experience, minus all the white 'floaties'... maybe it was just undissolved product? Overall, the staff, the facilities(especially the in room jacuzzi tub) and location(downtown) are good enough that I will book again. At 75usd per night(executive suite) its a bit spendy, but not over the top. A special shout out to 'Vera'... his great service was appreciated.

Big and nice rooms. There is a small roof pool to relax but not swim. The breakfast is basic but of good quality and quality fruits and fresh orange juice are available.

The restaurant is nothing special. We had a dinner for 2 people an both didn' t like the food as for quality reasons.

The rooftop view was terrific and the pool area was great to hang out in. Convenient location to cultural and historical sites. Room was spacious and comfortable. Good on site restaurant with room service. Wifi very good. Breakfast excellent.

They need more umbrellas for shelter next to the pool.

The hotel was exactly as pictured, and the staff was extremely nice and spoke English, which was very helpful for some tips. The breakfast was basic with some fruit options but served its purpose.

We weren't aware of this beforehand, but it turns out the area isn't very safe. During the day, it was manageable to walk around, though there wasn’t much to see. However, in the evening, it's advisable to take a taxi from door to door, and even then, we experienced people approaching and bothering us while in the taxi.

The hotel advertised on booking that this hotel on booking is disabled friendly. However, management wanted (and openly threatened) to THROW ME OUT because I was disabled. I was told that I could NOT stay without 24 hour assistance in the room. HOWEVER, they also said that as long as I RENTED two rooms (one for me and one for my assistant) I could stay in the hotel. That made no sense since the assistant would be in a separate room most of the time and I would not have the hotel management DEMANDED 24 hour assistance anyway. I only used a wheel chair for convenience. I can walk with a walker anywhere. I did go to the breakfast area most time by walking INDEPENDENTLY on the walker. I had to argue with the manager for over an hour to get her to NOT throw me out due to my disability. I needed to stay in the hotel until I could find somewhere else to live. I am moving to Paraguay. I have already submitted my immigration application (THROUGH AN ATTORNEY) to the Paraguayan Department of Immigration. I am waiting for the government to officially approve my legal residency.

For no real apparent reason, except that I used a wheel chair PART-TIME, the staff was told BY MANAGEMENT to literally watch every move that I made. The management wanted to ban me from the hotel for my disability. The place was NOT WHEEL CHAIR OR DISABILITY accessible as advertised. I could not get the wheel chair into the “included” breakfast area WITHOUT assistance. The elevators were SUPER TINY. It was impossible to get any wheelchair into the elevator without another person literally picking up the back wheels and turning it sideways. The “ramp” into the building was extremely steep. Even THE BEST electric wheel chair could NEVER have gone up or down that ramp. The ramp was is EXCESS of a 35 degree angle. I had my own PRIVATE assistant to help me with this disabled HOSTILE hotel environment. Booking should take the disabled friendly advertising of this hotel off their website. This hotel might be appropriate for NON-DISABLED individuals. The actual rooms were pleasant and the bathroom was great. The hotel location was in a dangerous red town.

Ms. Jocelyn, thank you for sharing your comments with us. At our hotel, we take the comfort and safety of all our guests, including those with special needs, very seriously. We would like to clarify a few points mentioned in your comment: 1. *Hotel accessibility:* The hotel strives to be accessible to people with disabilities, and we have certain adaptations, such as ramps and elevators. However, we understand that your experience with these facilities was not satisfactory, and we will therefore review our facilities again to ensure that they meet the highest possible standards. 2. *Assistance policy:* Our team suggested that you have an assistant available 24 hours a day only as a precaution, as you had requested a person to assist you during the absence of your private assistant; to ensure your well-being and safety during your stay. At no time was it our intention to cause you inconvenience or make you feel that your presence was not welcome. 3. *Monitored:* We are sorry that you felt monitored during your stay. This does not reflect the way we treat our guests. We want to assure you that any action taken by our team was intended to ensure your safety, not to inconvenience you. 4. *Request for additional assistance:* The recommendation to book an additional room for your assistant was made to ensure that you received the necessary attention in an efficient manner. We appreciate that this may not have been the ideal solution for you and we take your feedback into account to improve our policies in the future. Finally, we are sorry that your experience during your stay at the hotel that lasted more than a week was perceived in a bad way and that you felt poorly attended to. We will take your comments into account to make the necessary improvements to our facilities and services. Your opinion is valuable to us, and we sincerely regret that we have not met your expectations on this occasion. Kind regards.

Guest service is exceptional, from the front desk staff to the room service staff to the housekeeping staff and the waiters and chef at the restaurant. The food at the restaurant is delicious and professionally and beautifully presented and very friendly and helpful waitstaff. I highly recommend the restaurant, room service and hotel. The front desk staff make every effort to welcome English Speaking guests with their English skills, which is very helpful. The hotel itself is like a vintage snapshot....like going back in time to a bygone era. It is a really neat vibe. Great value for money.

Super hot water in shower was a surprise, but, then very welcome!! :)

    The staff was friendly.

The room I stayed in was huge, but old. The bed had bumps, pillows were old and uncomfortable. The breakfast isn’t very well served. Not too many options. And not tasty. The bread was hard and the scrambled eggs were “drowning” in water. The shower is ok, but it will get you burned or frozen during the bath… the temperature changes out of nothing.

    - Breakfast was nice as was the restaurant on second floor. - Certain elements of the decor.

    - Room floor dirty at check in. Had to call cleaning staff to clean it. - Toilet not functioning properly. Leaked after first use. Flushing mechanism broke shortly after. Notified reception, but nothing was done (possibly because our check out was next morning). - Our balcony was covered in pigeon manure. All are like this. - Our balcony door was not shutting closed fully (noise penetrating from outside) In general, an old neglected place overdue an overhaul

The staff try to make the best change us to a new room. But the hot water has the same problem. But the staff is friendly and try the best.

Not Hot water, Not heater system available in the room. The towels were Very Old and dirty (disgusting). The guy to came to fix the hot water never did nothing. When we go to the frontdesk there were 3 more customers complaning with the same issue. Never come back. We stay at the Guarani Asuncion and its VERY DIFFERENT!
