Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe Most Beautiful Place I've Ever Stayed Island Paradise Resort in Koror, Palau truly lives up to its name. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The resort offers a breathtaking lagoon view — easily the most stunning I’ve seen anywhere on the island. What made the experience even more special was the warm, personal touch. The breakfast is lovingly prepared by the team, and if you ask kindly, they’re happy to customize it to your taste. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the calm, peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect place to relax and recharge. The staff is absolutely wonderful — always kind, helpful, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The owner genuinely cares about the guests and is always ready to help with anything you might need. You can really feel that this resort is run with heart. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful, and welcoming place to stay in Palau, Island Paradise Resort is without a doubt the best choice. I can’t recommend it highly enough — I already can’t wait to return.

AustraliaWhen the buffet wasn't available the breakfast wasn't great. It was a pity the restaurant and bar were closed, but there were alternatives easily available. It's expensive for what you get, but everything is expensive in Palau, and relative to other properties we looked at it was probably reasonable. The air-conditioning took a long time to get the room temperature down, but it was fine once it got there. All of these were minor issues.
We were very happy that we chose to stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, the view from our room was really beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful. The place was very quiet for most of our stay and perhaps as a result the restaurant was closed, but there were excellent restaurants a short walk away. Although the bar was closed, we discovered late in our stay that room service for drinks would have been an option (we didn't take advantage of this so don't know what that was like). The restaurant area where breakfast is served is really lovely. The breakfast itself was a mainly Chinese buffet and was excellent, except for a couple of mornings when it wasn't available and we had an individual plate prepared (which wasn't great). We loved the pool. One oddity was the bare wood in the bathroom; there wasn't a spot of mould or rot but I have no idea why not; it seemed like a very unusual choice of material for a wet area in a hot, humid climate.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a balcony to take on the views. The pool is amazing and the views over the water and the island are superb. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They can help you organise tours and book taxis to get around. Downtown is about 15-20 minutes walk. The hotel is located in a quiet location and I felt at home very rapidly.

GermanyThere was nothing which we did not like. Even better if... The closet had hangers, but to place stuff like T-Shirts and pants, etc. a couple of shelfs in the closet would be very practicle. Probably still as a result of Covid, the existlng bar and restaurant was closed, which was a bid sad, as we would have loved to spend the one or another night at the hotel deck and Pool.
The pool is top. We spend every night in it with beautiful sunsets. Big, clean, awesome view. Rooms are spacious incl. a nice balcony with view to pool and waterfront. Large and very comfortbale bed. We would like to compliment the always very kind, helpful and warm honest smiling.hotel staff, starting at the reception, to the team at the restaurant, the housekeeping. Pool/Beach towels, water etc were always proactively provided by the front desk. Nice and clean hotel area, with well maintained garden. In walking distance a.small Cafe/bar and the top restaurant Elilai.

TaiwanNothing except satisfaction.
I booked this hotel for my colleagues who were doing hard work in harsh environment in Palau. Comparing with the first hotel they stayed, Insland Paradise is definitely worthy of the name. I was not here this time but I will make sure to stay here to experience myself in the upcoming trip.

AustraliaBreakfast's were disappointing with only what the cook presented and no selection or range of food e.g.cereal / museli. Coffee is the equivalent of watered down instant Nescafe. Especially disappointing was that my wife with a Vegan diet was presented various meat products every day even though we explained she has a vegan diet.
This resort is well positioned with a magical setting and has what you would expect from a three star facility but with some TLC (Tender Loving Care) and managment shake up this place should be pumping as a five star resort with bar and shop facilities all working. Staff were extremely helpful and obliging ensuring our needs were always met. If this place wants to attract more Australians it will have to lift its game. Hopefully it's probably a left over from the Covid shutdown that is taking a long time to wind back up.

Taiwan1. Probably due to the number of guests is too few, there are not many staffs to provide services. (The business isn't good, most of the time the resort is nearly empty.) 2. No elevators. So you might need the staffs to carry the luggages for you if you are not staying at 1st floor rooms. 3. By design, the overall resort facilities are old, even the beach chair is broken. The soundproofing of room is poor, hard to tweak the water heater for shower precisely, no TV channels at all and the room door isn't solid enough to make you feel safe. 4. As mentioned in the pros, it's owned and managed by Taiwanese so it can also be a disadvantage if you truly care about this. 5. On the face of it, the service makes you feel unprofessional intuitively comparing to other resorts. 6. The bar and restaurant are not actually open, and I guess they may not open in the future. Just imagine that this is a resort without bars/restaurants. 7. Breakfast is in the form of a set meal, not all-you-can-eat. If there are enough guests then the breakfast buffet will be provided. 8. I doubt that the swimming pool is maintained well or not. The big one became green color.
In verdict, the key features you'll want to know: * The design of the swimming pool area and the coastal room buildings formed a beautiful and even iconic sunset scene among the resorts in Palau, which is the main image of IPRC that you can see on the website. * The iconic scene mentioned above was probably be taken from the 3rd floor of the deluxe view rooms building(not the cabins located right near the sea). The room 201-202 and 301-302 are very likely have the best view. The pros are listed below: A. It is owned and managed by Taiwanese therefore it would be beneficial for Taiwanese guests due to the environment is full of Chinese words. B. The manager and the staff are very helpful and kind person that provided us valuable information regarding to the travel in Palau. C. The room is decorated with wood so the style is cabin type. D. As mentioned previously, since IPRC has a great view of the sea with the swimming pool area, you can spend time relax with it totally. E. The bed is comfortable(although this is a necessary requirement for running a resort). F. The appearance of the facilities truly brought you the feeling of a resort. G. It's very close to the Palau visitors authority, Side Street Cafe, LT Dive, FC seafood Restaurant, well-known Elilai Seaside Dining restaurant...etc. H. Breakfast is okay. I can feel that the chef works hard to make the meal good. I. Useful services such as ride hailing, car rental and beach towel are provided.

United Stateshorrible breakfast, restaurant closed, television did not work, claimed due to typhoon, there has not been a typhoon in Palau in years. When friends came to visit they got questioned to much and escorted to my room instead of just calling me, embarrassing both myself and my friends who felt they were being treated by criminals. No one was staying there but he advertised as being sold out. Locals told me it was always like that, no one knows why it is still open. restaurant is closed but signs say you will be charged if you bring in outside food. It is far from any decent restaurants or groceries. Stay away
despite so many issues mostly revolving around the management, most of the staff did their best. The hotel is basically desserted. like Bates Motel. Feels totally neglected and seems like owner has no concern for guests or staff. looks very neglected

Germanythere where no facilities, apart from a nice pool. it’s supposed to be “ no children” yet a school was hogging the pool. no issue about children using the pool but they where rude noisy and obnoxious. the teachers accompanying them where even worse.
the staff is honest and they see their shortfalls. however they are not being supported by the Palau regulations. these guys need support and the Palau government needs a serious talking to. the place has tremendous potential which is not utilised due to all the restrictions put on them.
