How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was bad lighting. Only one working table lamp. Bed leg was broken. There was one of the large glass windows that was open and anyone could easily get in the room from outside. We couldn’t sleep at ease knowing that. The whole experience was beyond impersonal. There was no human contact whatsoever. The tv remote was not working even after I had to buy batteries to try to watch some tv after a very rainy day. The bathroom door didn’t open all the way. Bathroom had a senseless and hard to spot step that tripped over it. It also lacked shampoo. During our stay we witnessed a couple waiting for any response from management to give them instructions on how to check in for hours and they had to leave defeated. This morning one of the guests complained that their room was flooded and had to find somewhere else to go…

They have two establishments, they send me the wrong pin and I ended up loosing like 45 minutes of my time trying to sort out the issue, and the person who I talked to was very poor informed regarding the place.

Dirty sheets and comforter, no windows, no night table lamp, room flooded after using the shower, no number on the door, had to try code on several doors to enter the room, no staff around to get help, broken door lock, called and texted but no answer, lobby had buckets and towels to contain leaks from the ceiling, dehumidifier in the room that had to be emptied twice a day that makes loud noises, awful experience all around. Room looks NOTHING like the one advertised, a total scam. A full refund should be issued, never coming back to this hotel

I had to wait in the reception area for 4 hours until a maintenance guy came and contacted the owners to tell me what room I was in and the code to get in. The bed was very uncomfortable and there was mould on the ceilings, I will definitely not be going back there again !

Verified reviewThe room was not the same as is show on the pictures, there are NO windows for a two queen bed room. Old and poor quality pillows. The washroom door didn’t close. The floor was all wet when we arrived. One of the tv’s remote control didn’t work.

Verified reviewIt was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would have been better with an extra blanket. The split zone ac unit worked well. Check in was easy. There was some coffee in lobby for guests. Staff was friendly.
There was not a single window in the room. The front gate entrance didn’t latch properly so it was always accidentally left unlocked. It felt like we were in a prison cell with no windows.

Verified reviewCleanliness. A/C was excellent. Once we got changed from the dungeon we were first, that other room was excellent, loved the windows.
No communal kitchen. No microwave. The wifi was null, so not even the TV worked. When we first got there, dungeon like room and a horrible noise every 10 mins.

Verified reviewClose to the airport and places to eat on main road nearby. The first room was not made up upon arrival and I was allocated another room which was ready. The bed was comfortable, the room large and the shower was decent.
WiFi did not work (really needed it for work). It was therefore difficult to communicate with management and I had to rely on another person to speak with manager. There was construction drilling going in the next room so it was very noisy in the morning.

Verified reviewIt was clean. The cleaning lady was kind to us when she saw that we were standing at the gate for 25 minutes waiting for a code to be let in.
Check-in was confusing because I received a notification saying that it was confirmed. Check in was at 3:00. A cleaning lady said that sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 we would get a message with our code to unlock the door. It never came until I found a page choosing the exact hour of arrival. The whole place is under construction with debris everywhere and no place to park.We were in room number 8. The Wi-Fi signal was so weak and their password ended in @ which is unacceptable on an Android , so there was no Internet. The television had never been installed on the Internet so you couldn't use that either. The mattress was obviously bought second hand and sanitized. I checked it for bed bugs and did not find any but it was stained. The bed has no box springs, it's laying on boards. The bedframe looked new. There's a bare bulb to plug in as a bedside lamp. There's an unmarked step up into the bathroom but that's okay because you land on the bed when you fall. There's some straw fans on the wall as decor that can double as a fan for the bathroom if someone really stinks it up. The towels were fluffy and clean but take your shower before bed because there is no hot water in the morning. Running a hotel by text does not make one feel welcome and cared for.
