Can get a little bit noisy at night.

Great location a couple of minutes walk from lots of restaurants and the ferry terminal. Bed was comfy and the the air con, fridge and shower were good.

On our arrival, no bathroom mate was available , no coffee machine, no shelves in the bathroom, the toilet seat should be located where the window wall allowed more room for comfort. The passages way to the rooms need more or better lighting. The common area in the back couldn't find the light switch, so I wasn't able to enjoy its use.

The location is excellent close to everything .

That it was close to the ferry terminal. Walking distance. It’s in the downtown area.

Simple, yet cozy, guesthouse close to canal and main-road with access to lockers

    • Posada La Hamaca 8

The reception is not staffed and the entrance seemed to be wide open all night, while the doors to the rooms didn't feel that thick and secure. Being a female solo travel, this naturally made me nervous especially since my room was the bottom floor. I understand that the island is small and safe and maybe I am paranoid, but being from NYC I naturally have my guard up at all times, so it made me feel a bit exposed. I wish there was a security lock/chain on the doors at least.

Cozy guesthouse with a very pretty patio right by the canal. The room itself is simple, but it didn't matter since I only needed it to sleep and shower for one night. The location was good and walking distance to main road. Big plus that there were lockers in case of early arrival or late checkout, and that I could borrow a beach towel upon my arrival as well. As soon as I arrived I could utilize my day and go straight to Flamenco Beach/explore the island without worrying about my luggage, and just grab it at night when I was back. The overall communication during check-in and check-out was super smooth and accomodating as well – you do need your phone so you can text.

If you are a light sleeper this may not be the best spot. It seems like the city collects trash in the early morning like 4 or 5am and it’s incredibly loud.

The property is in the center of the town which makes it convenient when traveling to and from the ferry, to the shops to rent snorkel gear and the restaurant/convenient stores. It is located on a little canal that makes for great scenery, especially in the morning or after hours when most things are closed since the island shuts down fairly early (9pm).

We checked in remotely via text and it was difficult to get a reply back in a timely manner both to store our bags and later to check in to our room. We ended up doing both but the process could have been smoother.

The room was very clean and comfortable overall.

The new management, is bad. Isn’t really a hotel anymore as is stated. Is more like Airbnb. Self check out. They charges you for holding your bags now. Where most hotels do it for free, is not as clean as it used to be.

    Is near shops and port

This is the list of things that I did not like: 1. The room for 4 people next to the reception desk which I believe is room #9, the windows and beds are located in a wall next to the sidewalks and a road so for people with a light sleep cycle could be an issue due to noises (earplugs are a good idea). 2. The whole room was well cleaned smelling good including the bathroom but they should replace the shower head because it was not clean. Everything else was perfect, we had a positive experience and if I had to stay again in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to do so!

This is the list of things that I did like: 1. Good customer service. 2. Clean property. 3. Location is close (walkable distance) to the ferry terminal, restaurants, a tiny grocery store and to a bakery. 4. The extra charge for a storage locker is worth it because the closet was big. 5. The back area of the property has tables next to the water canal along with an appropriate volume level of music (very relaxing atmosphere). 6. The management always answered our phone calls without any delays. 7. Safe place to stay. Side note: I recommend you to bring insect repellent because it is completely normal on an island to deal with mosquitoes and also I will suggest keeping your room door closed.

The bad part is the virtual check in. Nobody on the property to help, just a phone number. Our TV don't start, message the property and one hour later the response was to check the electrical connection, wich was the same thing I did one hour before. No more answer, still waiting for a message and I am at my home . No instructions for check out, I guess I have to put the key in a box in front of the office because it says "keys" in front. Next time I'll think about staying again. For the price I payed there are better options.

The location super good, centrally located and walking distance to restaurants and the port. Super clean room, well equipped with stove, microwave oven, coffee maker, fridge, tv with cable.
