Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only complaint would have to be the parking. During the day when the beach is open parking is limited.
I love the location, staff and the beach. The beach has the right amount of people. Not to crowded and filled with beautiful people. The restaurant has good food as well. I had the burger which was delicious. My wife had the fish tacos and she loved them as well. The restaurant is right on the premises so you can eat there, the beach or even your room.

United StatesI liked everything!
Small property, clean, has everything you need- close to the airport, on property restaurant as well as walkable restaurants, small shop with sun screen, open beautiful beach, chairs and umbrella set up provided. Everything you need! The vibe is boho- comfortable and trendy. We will stay again! Bring some snackies for the street kitties! They don’t bother you!

ItalyRoom cleaning could be better. The beach towels provided by the building were not always very clean. The food and drinks are a little expensive but I guess it's just the price you pay to have an ocean view.
Our stay was short but this location made it beautiful. Just waking up on the beach is a unique experience. The house makes it so that you don't have to worry about anything. The bar is open all day long for meals and drinks. The staff is very friendly and available. There are small shops and bars nearby and a Walgreens for most things you might need. Uber to the old town takes around 10 minutes and the SJU airport is around 15 minutes away. They allowed us to store the bags on the arrival day before checking in and on the departure after check-out. Very nice if you want to visit the old town or just hang out on the beach. The bar has a fair variety of meals and good drinks, including a good vegetarian selection.

United StatesThe rooms could have been a bit larger, but I know that’s not something that can be changed. Otherwise everything was great!
The staff were incredibly skilled, considerate, and attentive! The beach was gorgeous and guests are guaranteed two lounge chairs with umbrella every day, so no worrying about finding a seat!

United StatesCouldn’t ask for a better location - we enjoyed coffee on our balcony with a perfect view of the sand and water. The beach was clean and beautiful in this area. Staff was attentive and sweet. It takes a little while for things to happen - so just relax and enjoy island time.

United StatesMy only minor complaint was temperature fluctuation in the shower. That, of course, is probably out of the hotels control.
Beach wasn't overcrowded, and the hotel has direct access. Staff is extremely attentive and friendly.

United StatesThe only thing that irritated me was that we had no where to go between 11 am and check-in time at 4 pm. We were told that if we wanted to hang out and wait, we could pay $30 or $95. After spending as much money as we did on the room and eventually food and drinks, I thought it was bad customer service to tell a paying guest that they have to pay to hang out until their check in time. I would seriously look into changing that policy. We refused to pay it and just walked around town, which seemed like an eternity.
I loved how close our room was to the beach, bar, and food area. I loved being able to have access to chairs and umbrellas. The wait staff was fabulous.

United StatesWe stayed a NumeroUno Guest house many times prior to the pandemic. This was our first stay post- pandemic and under new ownership. The hotel is now more of a destination for people looking for a celebratory environment. The hotel beach amenities are now available to anyone willing to pay, music plays most of the day, lounge chairs no longer have cushions (a mesh surface), paper thin towels and the lounge chairs are set up in rows, so you can’t request a particular location. At check in you are given a bracelet to identify you from nonhotel guests. During the weekend the hotel beach fills up with three times as many day renters as guests. The restaurant in the hotel is no longer one of the top restaurants in San Juan, which was a big draw in the past. In the past coffee and tea were complimentary for hotel guests, this is no longer the case. At $5 a cup this can add up to another $140-$150 if you drink 2-3 cups a day, as my spouse and I do. It is understandable after the pandemic that the new owner would want to maximize opportunities but it has come at a cost that has changed the hotel’s culture. The staff was terrific and very helpful, but we would definitely rethink a vacation here after spending a week on a mesh lounge chairs.
The hotel is small, well located and right on the beach
