Clean

I recently spent a night at Waterside Inn in Vieques and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is truly unbeatable – just steps from the beach, restaurants, and the lively center of town. It’s a perfect spot if you want to explore the area without needing a car. The room was simple and functional, with a portable shower inside and a well-working AC that kept things comfortable during the night. While the accommodations are on the modest side, everything was clean and thoughtfully arranged for a short stay.

One thing to note: the small window in the room remained open with only a mosquito net, which let in some fresh air but also the possibility of small bugs. I had an unfortunate spider bite during the night, so I’d recommend that the property consider more frequent fumigation to enhance guest comfort. Despite that, the charm of the location and the value for being right in the heart of Vieques made it a worthwhile stay. If you’re looking for a no-frills, centrally located place near the beach, Waterside Inn is a great option!

Nothing, especially the attitude I received

It was not at all what I thought I was booking as the site was very misleading and I was charged for 2 rooms when I only booked 1, when corresponding with the text I was greeted with an attitude and was asked to leave so we never stayed there then we were stuck on the island overnight with two children and nowhere to go 😠

To be honest, there was no staff. It was self enter, which was fine. It was a convenient place to stay on vieques.

I love the location. The beds were really comfortable.

Could have had a few chairs outside of the rooms to sit in. We rented five rooms and a couple of the rooms didn’t have the bed completely made.

It worked well for the time we were there.

The bar next door blasted music until 3am.

Love the Bed pillows area location and all walk right into the malecon to the beach! Staff was nice!

Maybe need more garbage bags or trash cans outside the rooms.

The outside walkway was very dirty with trash and leaves and rotting mangoes. The signage in the room warned us not to have food in the room. I have been to six countries and never been forbidden from eating in my paid room. No washer/dryer available for guests. Apparently none on the whole island. No TV. No window to look out.

fantastic location and Pete is the man. also one of the best Pizzas I have ever eaten. And I normally complain about all restaurants. LOVE this place

Being in a small island like Vieques, my expectations were low. All I was looking for was a reasonably comfortable bed to sleep in & I got what I was looking for.

Location near beach in Esperanza, bar and restaurant at hotel. Room was clean, updated. Close to beaches.

No Refrigerator or Microwave, expensive, as much as downtown Chicago.

Great location! Close to all the restaurants and the beach. Easy check-in and the room was very cute, a bit of an IKEA design.

It was pretty basic- few towels, no tv,one tiny mirror, shower was so so. But cute clean great location

Shower was inconsistent- too hot or too cold. One Tiny mirror you couldn’t see. No tv.

its a budget place. Nice, new, and clean. The communal bathroom and showers and exactly communal (so be careful when you use them).

no maid service, no where to exchange towels. The airconditing was working but only at one temperature regardless of how you configured it. Didn´t see the staff (or at least were not visible).
