How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe apartment had everything we needed — washing machine, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher — super convenient. There was also a grill and a playground, which was great for both us and the kids. The owners were super friendly and helpful, easy to contact and quick to respond. We got all the info and door codes by sms, so check-in was smooth and stress-free. We also loved that we could bring our yorkie — he was more than welcome and felt totally at home 😊 No restrictions on the street, so you can always squeeze in somewhere, even in high season. Nice and quiet area, but still close to everything. Would definitely come back!

Verified reviewA convenient location for exploring the Tricity area. A bus stop is nearby, making it easy to get to the city center. A city bike station is just steps away. Shopping is easy in the neighborhood. Parking is available in front of the building. The apartment is very nice and well-equipped. The owner is very helpful and friendly. There's a well-maintained garden, a playground, and a barbecue grill. I recommend it for weekends, vacations, and other trips.

My recent stay here was an extremely disappointment: • The place was filthy. Floors were dirty and covered in sand, and the sofa was the same. • The bedding was unclean, with hair on the sheets. Absolutely disgusting. • The toilet was disgusting, covered in feces. I had to clean it myself because I have a baby. There was no toilet paper at all. • in addition to that, there was a party grilling during quiet hours, using kerosene, and smoking. The smell inside my room on the ground floor was awful and possibly unsafe. I reached out to the manager, who first said that guests can do whatever they want in the shared area. After pointing out the late-night party during quiet hours, she said she would call them. Not sure it helped since the party continued for another 50 minutes. • Air conditioning is not available despite the misleading description. You have to pay an extra $40 to use it, but there’s only one air conditioner for a two-bedroom apartment, making it impossible to use for each room. • Parking is also misrepresented. You have to find a space on the street, leaving your car in an unknown and potentially unsafe area. Overall, the stay was a total disaster. I’m glad we stayed for only one night and found another place for a longer stay.

We are currently investigating this matter with our cleaning staff to ensure such oversights do not happen again. Regarding the disturbance caused by other guests, we apologize for the inconvenience. While we strive to maintain a peaceful environment, it’s clear that our efforts were not sufficient during your stay. We will reinforce our policies to prevent similar situations in the future. We also regret any confusion caused by the air conditioning and parking arrangements. The cost of air conditioning is 40 PLN/day. If parking in front of the building is not to your liking, you can always buy a space in the garage. We will review the property description to ensure it accurately reflects our amenities and provide clearer information to our guests. Your experience was not reflective of the standards we aim to provide, and we truly regret that we fell short. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to improve. Verified reviewThe apartment was very spacious excellent for family of 10 . The 4 kids loved the room upstairs as it had 4 beds and desks as well as table so the kids were so happy to stayed together in one very big room .

Verified reviewThe apartment was in a quiet area which was great, trams and buses are nearby and taxis are cheap.it had all the facilities, the Host Agnes was so helpful we would definitely stay here again.
The only downside was the bath was a bit deep for stepping in and out off when you've showered, maybe a grab rail would be helpful. That would be our only thing.

Verified reviewThere were three decent sized double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living room and dining room on the main floor, and then on a mezzanine level there was a huge room to sleep four people. All of the rooms had great storage and space. It was snowy and cold in Gdansk that weekend and we were cosy and warm throughout our stay. The location is great, only a c. 25 min walk to the centre where we enjoyed the Christmas markets and locally there were supermarkets very nearby to stock up on essentials. The kitchen was very well equipped to cook in the apartment if you wished - it had everything we needed.
No complaints whatsoever
