We had such a great stay at Good Bye Lenin Hostel! The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a hostel — cozy, friendly, and full of good vibes. The staff were super welcoming and helpful from the moment We arrived. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The common areas were chill and inviting — perfect for meeting other travelers or just relaxing after a day out. Location-wise, it’s perfect and We really appreciated how safe and secure the hostel felt too. Would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, sociable, and well-run place to stay!

The vibes really differed across the 5 nights I was there, so its really a hit or miss. Some nights it got really noisy, or the conversation got a bit weird, but that's not the fault of the hostel. Wish they enforced quiet hours more strictly though, since the rooms are right next to the common area.

Really cozy hostel vibes that perfectly accompanied our hiking trip to the Tatras. We really enjoyed the different themed nights, particularly the BBQ one. Thanks to the staff for organising! And for the cats too for being such perfect companions. Probably the cleanest hostel toilets I've experienced too - I was pleasantly surprised.

Kitchen and bathroom facilities are small for the number of guests but it works if you’re patient and not too fussy

Unique priceless atmosphere. I came for accommodation and I got a sense of community. So needed these days. Also I love the location, common space, evening activities, cats, goat and the team.

The wi-fi connection was pretty poor - not great for anybody trying to work remotely at the hostel.

Good Bye Lenin was one of my favourite downtime (while still social) hostels I stayed at during my trip - comparable to Balmer’s Interlaken (but less party vibe) and Sandino (Berlin). It really felt like a family, with all staff super welcoming and helpful. This is the place to be if you’re coming to Zakopane.

Hmmm… the kitchen is quite small but there’s hardly anything one can do about it.

Lovely staff, good bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, loads of information, great atmosphere! The breakfast was nice and simple - great to start your day. Free coffee, tea all day. The house is such a cute building itself with a lovely outside area - you know you’re in the mountains! Ah I’ve not mentioned this yet - great location! 5 minutes from one of the park’s entrances (bear in mind there’s many of them and the TPN is large, to get to Morskie Oko you gotta take the mini bus that stops literally 5 mins away from the hostel).

The rooms are quite small and the bunk beds are old no curtains for beds which leaves little to no privacy Some of the guests do not respect the quite times Too many Australians/Americans ( just kidding but true tho )

The hostel is such an experience in itself, very cosy especially the living room , the host Ania is so lovely and nice , the community spirit of the place is so high and makes you wanna stay longer

This is just the best place ever. It feels like home away from home. It’s a big cozy house with multiple dorms and private rooms, some bathrooms, a kitchen and common area. It’s a 4 min walk from the bus station and close to a lot of hikes in the area.

Really friendly staff, sometimes felt like there are more volunteers working there than there are guests. Really cozy hut and some kind of event every evening. Good starting point for hikes, either directly up a closeby trail or 5 Minutes to the busstation. A perfect hostel for connecting with others!

A good place to experience the old wooden house vibes. The staff is super kind and rooms are pretty comfortable. I strongly suggest you to go there while it's snowing.

Coming to Zakopane from Taiwan involved many decisions — booking flights, trains, and accommodations. Among all these choices, staying at Good Bye Lenin Hostel was the best decision I made. The staff and guests here are all very friendly and courteous. The staff, in particular, are always happy to help — especially when it comes to providing information about hiking, buses, and nearby supermarkets. For a foreigner like me who knows nothing about Zakopane, this information was incredibly valuable. Thanks to the staff’s assistance, my time in Zakopane was truly joyful.

The showers are a little small, but they’re clean and amazing water pressure.

It was such a warm atmosphere, really pretty cabin both inside and outside. Lovely communal areas and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are lovely, and the kitchen is quaint but good.

I was excited for the breakfast included in the price of the stay but I got a bit disappointed - it was just cereal, toast bread, some jam and coffee - not enough to fill you up for a full day of hiking, if you want a proper breakfast you need to buy your own stuff.

The hostel is run mostly by young international volunteers which creatres a uniqe and super friendly atmosphere. I enjoyed the cozy common area where there was always somebody to hang out with. It's a great choice for people travelling alone, especially if you enjoy being in international enviroments full of people who want to exchange stories. I really enjoyed my stay there and I am sure I will recommend this place to my firends.
