Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PakistanThe service was slow. There was no in-house dining menu in the room. They provided an old menu but charged according to new prices.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Overall food is very good.

United StatesOverall, everything was good, but I found the food to be extremely overpriced—especially at the rooftop BBQ. The buffet for two cost over 12,000, which felt unreasonably high considering the food quality. It was pretty basic and definitely didn’t match the premium price tag. I think the pricing needs to be reconsidered, as the value just wasn’t there

SingaporeThe rules and regulations at Avari Towers Hotel appear outdated, dating back to colonial times, which can create challenges for guests. For instance, my booking was made using my associate’s credit card in Dubai, as he could not travel due to airspace closures in the Middle East. However, upon arrival, the hotel insisted that I present the physical credit card for the transaction, as they retained a hold on the card for a quarter of the total price. This required me to contact my associate so he could transfer the necessary cash via wire, which was an unusual situation that I had not encountered with bookings made through platforms like Booking.com, where payments are typically processed in advance. Additionally, the hotel’s dress code for the breakfast hall is quite strict; casual attire is not permitted, and staff members have been known to prevent guests from entering in sports attire, which seems somewhat antiquated. On another note, there was an incident involving a fragile glass that broke while washing. Although I promptly reported the issue, it took several staff members, including a room inspector, to address the matter, with only one person eventually asking about my well-being. While I did not mind covering the cost of the broken glass, the process of generating a receipt was excessively prolonged, which was inconvenient given the limited time I had during my trip. Such outdated behaviour must be halted immediately, as a post-modern lifestyle demands better!
The Avari Towers Karachi location is breathtaking, surrounded by stunning views that make it a memorable destination. I was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding service provided by the entire team, whose dedication to hospitality was evident throughout my stay. I want to thank Ajay in the business lounge, who went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for a productive and relaxing time. Fahim Daniels at the Lobby lounge and Meeraj at the concierge were valuable, offering insightful recommendations that allowed me to make the most of my visit. Hassan from the rent-a-car desk made arranging transportation seamless and efficient, ensuring I had a reliable vehicle. Additionally, Mr. Ashraf at the gym was friendly and knowledgeable, providing me with valuable tips to enhance my workout experience. The breakfast was nice However, the true standout for me was Ms. Javeria Patras at the front desk. Her professionalism and genuine warmth made my check-in experience smooth and incredibly welcoming. She took the time to address all my inquiries and made sure I felt valued as a guest. I am genuinely grateful for the exceptional service from each team member, as it significantly enhanced my stay and created lasting memories!

Saudi ArabiaThe hotel require renovation and upgrade. No sockets near the bed on both sides. We live in a digital era and getting up from the bed just to set an alarm or to set it off or to check the notifications while charging because all the sockets are on the other side of the room. Lights of the room are very dim and few, i expected mood lighting in the ceiling and bright lights all around the room. Reading lights are fixed in place above the bed, if turned on, it hits your eyes directly. A lock and curtain on the washroom door is very much preferred specially while using the toilet when people are in the room.
Overall ambiance of the hotel was great, people were very polite and helpful.

PakistanOnly two towels in the room, the room phone didn’t work.
They ungraded us and gave us the extra mattress (after a bit of a discussion). They also gave a nice transfer service despite our larger than usual luggage requirements. Overall the senior staff is very accommodating. The decor is much better than the rest of the hotels in karachi (wooden floor in rooms). Plus there is less rush in the hotel compared to PC or Marriott. So my preferred place to stay in Karachi.

PakistanThis was my 4th stay at Avari Towers, and once again, it was an amazing experience. The hotel consistently maintains a high standard of service, and I truly appreciate the warm hospitality. The staff was very cooperative and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. Their courteous behavior made the stay even more comfortable. The room was clean and well-maintained, offering all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay. The ambience is peaceful, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet – it had a good variety of items and the quality of food was quite good. A few more options would make it even better, but overall, it was satisfying.

PakistanWhen we checked in, the room we were assigned had a non functional toilet. After the property repaired the toilet, it proceeded to flood the room. We were then assigned another room that did not have hot water. Anyhow after a complaint, the hot water issue was resolved.
