Great vibe. Great staff. Has a social atmosphere. It's not crazy but you meet people. Room was solid. Pool area was great. Good location.

    Liked everything.

Staff are really great, very helpful. Location is good, close enough to the centre but far enough to not be disturbed by the noise.

Clean, attentive staff, lovely pool, good happy hour, great location.

The walls are very thin so you can easily hear outside and into other rooms. A little more attention to detail with cleaning would be been helpful.

Great vibes! Mostly very clean with lots of amenities. Lovely staff!

Bedding was not changed for a long-ish stay, had to ask. The seating area does not have any comfortable seating options. The benches are hard wood and not at all comfy. In the rain there is nowhere covered to sit.

Staff, location, facilities were all exceptional. Advice on tours was really helpful and always someone at the desk if needed. 24/7 Coffee/tea was an added bonus. Really clean and best location for cafes, restaurants and the Sardine Run.

A bit pricey in comparison to others. But rooftop sunset and great facilities, location and cleanliness was worth it

The staff were really friendly, the pool was lovely and rooms clean and fresh.

The room was really light even with curtains pulled. Could do with some new darker curtains and a blind on the window above sink.

This is actually the best hostel I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled to many places. The staff is wonderful and they really made you feel welcomed. Comfy beds, good Wi-Fi, free water, coffe and tea. The pool is amazing and the design of the building is remarkable. The attention to detail is astonishing. Thank you for everything! /Josie <3

Maybe there could be a few more bean bags by the pool :D

We loved our stay here. We had a private room with an ensuite. It was simple, attractive, convenient and comfortable! Lots of good advice from the owners and lovely friendly staff who made us feel welcome.

    All good!

New hostel opened in late 2024, run by a Filipino and his British wife. Pool gives a nice vibe and it was social when I visited. It was easy to make friends here. Not a party Hostel, but so everyone was up for a chat or going out for dinner etc. Comfy beds. New AC units! The rooftop terrace will be great once finished (maybe in mid 2025?)

The staff is not really interested in the guests to give them a good experience - I miss a warmth and care about the wellbeing of the guests that I experienced in other hostels. This said, the owner and his wife is very caring and helpful! So as long they are around it's good. The taxi booked with the hostel was a old and not comfortable. The lady at the reception just ignored additional requests, pointing to a picture of a taxi on the wall. No shampoo in the room, but there is downstairs.

    - the pool and pool bar - good AC - location close to the center of Moalboal - drinking water unit next to the room - friendly staff at reception - happy hour on drinks

    - nothing to put any stuff on or in in the private room - no curtain in one window and a bad curtain in the other, hence a lot of light in the room early in the morning - shower and toilet in one, so hard to not make the entire room wet - attitude of the bartender at the pool. He really showed he didn’t like his job. I believe it’s better to replace him. - driver arranged by the hostel didn’t show up upon arrival at Cebu island - the canyoneering tour was 2.200 pesos in the hostel, while we bought the exact same for 1.800 pesos in the village - noise from the construction next door and a pack of barking dogs - top public/communal floor was still not ready, while I expected it be ready by now. - narrow double bed for 2 people

    Property response:

Hi Lancelot, sorry to hear that your stay could have clearly been better. I thought I'd address each of your points below. I'm a little confused what you mean by nothing to put stuff on in the room as there is a shelf in the room and also a couple of tables so if you could let us know, that would be great so we could make improvements. The curtains are definitely something we would eventually like to change as we are aware they are clearly not there to stop light from coming in more a privacy curtain. We obviously have limited space in the rooms so our showers are more like wet rooms not a separate shower and toilet. I will speak to our barman as it's not good you received a bad attitude so thank you for flagging that. The construction is still a major project on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors and if we were to undergo this on the 3rd floor during high season this would cause a lot of upset to guests due to noise. We hope to achieve most of the completion by the end of this year. Chickens and dogs unfortunately are a very common noise in the Philippines everywhere you go so this is not really something we can control. The construction noise is tried to be kept back until after 10am so if not we will ensure this is done. The canyoneering can be done cheaper outside the hostel and we certainly don't hide that fact, but you are paying for a better service, tour guides that are way more experienced, lunch is better and they are punctual when others turn up late and are picked up in bigger groups. May I ask how you arranged an airport transfer as I was not told about one not turning up? We have never had this since we opened so I would like to ensure this never happens again if it was our mistake. Anyway I'm glad there were some positive points and you have a great onward travel! Thank you for staying with us. Liz

Really great spot, great social vibe, the pool and bar are really nice to meet others and just chill out.. Rooms were nice and new! Only con was the bathroom in the dorm room had no separated shower so the toilet was almost always wet.

Lovely pool, good AC, friendly staff, great location - close enough to the main time but still relatively quiet at night.

Shower drainage was poor, soundproofing of the room wasn't great. Additionally, despite not leaving food in our room at any point, we did encounter a large amount of ants in our room.

It’s really pretty and you can tell the place is new. The dorm was comfortable and had everything we needed, enough space, and conveniently put. The vibe is great. There’s music during the day and I appreciate it stops early enough to also be able to sleep. It’s a short walk until the main street, making it conveniently placed but still quiet.
