I came to see what Moalboal had to offer. Once I discovered the comfort and charm of the Bungalows though, I just wanted to spend my time lounging around the property and taking the short walk down to the sea. The staff was fantastic and warm. Lisa even arranged for my transportation from and back to Cebu City. I did get out to discover what was in the surrounding area, but I was always happy to get back to Sambag Hideaway!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this place. From the very first moment, I felt very welcome by the staff. The resort has only a few rooms, which creates a private atmosphere. The room was clean and the grounds are well-maintained, with plenty of garden, palms and trees, and vibrant flowers. The owner often visits and is available for a chat. What really sets this resort apart, however, is the service combined with the location. Every member of staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. The location is perfect for snorkeling and sea turtle watching. You only have to descend a few steps and you're right in the water, snorkeling on the reef – on your own, without the crowds. What I also really appreciated, is the resort's collaboration with a local restaurant, which delivers delicious and reasonably priced food in reusable containers to avoid plastic waste. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation! However, I wouldn't recommend it for people looking for dining and nightlife within walking distance.

Nothing - everything was exceptional

We were having an exceptionally good time at the Sambag Hideaway with the nicest people you can imagine! When holidays far from home feels like visiting some friends you know you have chosen the right place to stay 🙂 The rooms are super clean and well maintained, the garden is as beautiful as it can be and the staff is more like really good friends. And best of all: it comes with an own house reef 🪸 and four turtles 🐢 living in it. So diving is guaranteed an nice experience! Not walkable to restaurants but you can order from one and they deliver for free and the food was delicious

Stunning property right on the water with a lovely restaurant that serves drinks till 9pm then is quiet. Lisa was great, I was even able to stay on the property after check out and use the snorkel gear one more time. Ample recliners and beach chairs and snorkeling right at your feet.

Sits on top of a hill, overlooking a private beach. The rooms look newly renovated, has, strong air conditioning, and good water pressure. The place is perfect for travellers looking a more private, less noisy part of Moalboal.

I loved my stay at Sambag. It felt like a little slice of paradise slightly away from central Moalboal. I loved waking up in the morning sitting over looking the ocean and the snorkelling was better here then in town. The staff treated us like 5 star hotel would. They were accomodating, friendly and informative- especially Lisa who was a wealth of local information and was genuinely caring of her guests.

Amazing collection of bungalows on the waterfront and tucked away from the main busy areas of Moalboal. The staff are all super friendly and will assist with whatever you need including booking tours like canyoneering. Snorkeling right off the property is great too as there are turtles and sea snakes to see! I actually liked the location being away from diver’s alley - it’s a super short motorbike ride into town or if you like to walk it’s about 35-40 minutes.

Perfect accommodation! Sambag's is truly a special place. The staff were extremely friendly and kind, they arranged everything for us including canyoneering tour, transfers, bikes and more. You can swim/snorkel in your own private section, we were lucky enough to swim with turtles, and saw an abundant of fish, starfish and coral. I would say it's one of the best spots I have ever snorkelled. We hired a moped to get around which I highly recommend, the main town is only a short ride away. You can even have lunch/dinner delivered from the nearby restaurant which was delicious. They offer a wonderful breakfast every morning, with the most amazing fruit platters! Our room was gorgeous as well. We loved our stay here :) thank you

The WiFi signal was a bit weak, though it was not a big deal.

Sambag Hideaway is a very peaceful place only 10 min away from the main city and attractions. The bar and garden overlook the sea, and you can also access it directly. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and is very fresh and good. The room was very clean, and well maintained - exactly as on the pictures. Finally, Lisa and the rest of the staff were very helpful and welcoming; it really made our stay very special and enjoyable. She also helped us organise transfer from/to Cebu airport with Nick - very good and trustworthy driver. They also offer to arrange activities in the city and massage at the hotel. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, thanks a lot to the staff for your excellent service!

Everything about this place is amazing. A little piece of heaven away from the city buzz. Direct access to the ocean, we could even see turtle from the patio. Lisa was an absolute gem, she helped us out with transportation, renting a scooter and even last minute tours or massages.

The view from the garden is crazy beautiful. You are a bit away from the busy center but can get there in 5min of scooter, which is just perfect ! Lisa and her team is also fabulous ✨
