there was a disorganization we never wanted meat on our plate, got it always. We wanted fruits but always had to ask. Ate Cook always said yes but didnt really understand I guess when we were asking if she could just prepare some fruits so we can take out the next morning cause we had to leave early for a trip. In the morning nothing was prepared but then she started cooking rice egg and meat again. Very annoying. We asked if we could check out late she said yes later the other girl said we have to pay 200 aditional. We argued and it was unpleasant cause it was not our fault that they didnt communicate between them. The only reason for us to still give a good review is the respect of the manager we briefly met. She at least could speak proper english was also surprised though that we werent informed on how to open the gate and enter the place late at night. So we had to ring the bell and wake someone up… Most awful was the smoke from the burnt trash everywhere around the place. Very unhealthy cannot recommend!!

The location is a bit uncomfortable to hang around or go for dinner. The breakfast is prepared very early in the morning, therefore it's cold when served.

The host is reactive and always available. The breakfast is excellent and there are different choices. The room is comfy enough

Maybe just a slight suggestion, some place where you can hang wet clothes. It'll benefit from drying it way faster , but other than that. It's very doable without it

The room has an unpleasant smell when we arrived and every time we come in the room. You can feel and hear the springs of the mattress. I would suggest to get a mattress topper. The sheet was very thin. Check the rooms for insects like spiders and cockroach as we found one of each. It is far away from shops and tricycle charges 200 each ride for 2 which was very expensive. I would suggest getting a scooter if you stay here. Breakfast was not that great but okay.

Our room looks really nice from the outside and inside. It was convenient to have a kitchen counter. The staffs were very great and helpful. Just a 15 mins walk to a quiet, white sand beach especially on weekdays. If you are on a budget, this is an okay place to stay.

Check which building you book the room in. The newer building has a bit more modern and nicer rooms. Check to rent a motorbike right away, cause you will need it

A beautiful place where you feel at home. The room is great and clean, good shower with hot water. We stayed 5 days as it was cozy, the housekeeper came upon request. Everyone working there is so nice. The breakfast is home-cooked, rice and corned beef, sometimes eggs, rice, and toast, it depends. The guesthouse is located in a local area, you will need a motorbike to go to a restaurant (la Familia is a good one, 5-min drive). Alona Beach and all the restaurants and activities are at 15min by motorbike. This location is really great if you prefer a less touristic and authentic place! Careful, the address on Google Maps is not the good one. Follow the instructions on booking (in front of the school "Looc").

Kara and her aunt were amazing! Very friendly and helped organize anything we needed. Motorbike rental, food, and even helped me book a popular tattoo artist! I liked that it was family owned and quite. Alona beach is a short 10min bike ride away
