How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLounge, common area, restaurant, bar were very stylish and tasteful. Even the dorm room floor tiles were nice. Garden was nice, and they had secure parking for motorbikes.
I was the only guest in the dorm room, so there was an argument about using the advertised aircon. It's not my fault I was the only guest. They said it's not economic to use aircon for one dorm guest at the advertised price. So don't advertise at that price!!! It's very misleading.

Verified reviewIt was clean and peaceful. Staff were very accommodating
The water used for shower I think is saltwater, but they were able to provide fresh water to be used for toothbrush. The aircon in our room was not that cold.. not sure why..

Verified reviewBathroom was spacious. Whole room was clean. I liked the names of the room (Cactus was my name). They made good cheese and tomato toasties. It was quiet all night and close to vegetarian restaurants. Staff very polite and genuine, offering to help me book tours etc.
The pillows were way too huge, my neck couldn't reach so I had to use the cushion. There was no standing fan in the room, just an air cooling unit which I don't like as much. They also left the windows open so when I arrived mosquitoes could have got in. Could have done with much more vegan food on the menu and real fruit juce.

Verified reviewThe only thing I liked was that it was close to Dumaluan beach and one person of the staff was helpful. The water from the shower was salty, room was really hot and couldn’t leave the door open to refresh it as there were tons of mosquitoes outside waiting to enter. The bed was not the best and the room was not clean at all.

Verified reviewHome like vibes as soon as you walk in, the cute little touches to the room to make it comfortable. The location was perfect, 15 mins walk to the beach where you do have pay to enter then once on the beach you’ll see a beach resort with various coloured bean bags and you can pay £8 for a day pass. They organised a tour for us to the chocolate hills and the tarziers, which was very reasonably priced. There is a restaurant across the road at the end which is a eco lodge of some sorts which done some good food, went there twice and there is a 7/11 5 mins walk away, if you turn right at the junction. The staff were so lovely and welcoming we really enjoyed our stay, they even helped us book a tuk to the port for our boat.
The loud air conditioner and the cold shower, but this shouldn’t take from the experience as it was a lovely introduction to the Philippines for us.

Verified reviewIt’s just ok. The shared bar area is nice and they’re open quite late for food and drink.
The air cons so noisy. The area is so loud with karaoke in the background 24/7. The night we arrived there was a huge party down the street that went until 2am. The bass was shaking the walls. (Perhaps not there fault) The water pressure is non existent, we were told this would be fixed but it never was. I had to wash my hair wish a bucket and water. You only get these tiny blankets not suitable to share… however they did give me another one when I asked but it didn’t smell great. Foods expensive.. meegoreng is like 17pesos at the shop but they charge 250 here. It’s just noodles in boiled water. We ended up leaving a couple of days early as it took its toll.
Hi thnx for choosing to stay at adrianas place.you stayed during a fiesta which celebrates the saint of b the barangay during this period is celebration for the local community discos and karaoke .

Verified reviewThe location is great, away from horribly overdeveloped Alona. A short walk to a beautiful beach which is well worth the 100peso entrance fee. There were plenty of nice places to eat nearby and small local shops. The garden and communal area are lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I liked the old schools style native huts, which reminded me of my old trips to the Philippines over ten years ago.
There was an odd smell coming from the bathroom and it got stronger and stronger during our stay, by the time we left it was horrendous and I would not have been able to stay in the room any longer. Just personal preference, but green and red paint is a little old fashioned, I think the room could be a lot nicer if repainted with bright neutral colours.

Verified reviewI really appreciate the property’s inviting atmosphere—it exudes a beautifully tropical vibe, thanks to the well-maintained garden. The predominantly wooden construction is thoughtfully designed, creating a harmonious and natural aesthetic. The staff are warmly professional and truly pleasant to interact with.
There was no provision for a clothes hanger in the cabinet, bath soap, or shampoo, which could enhance the overall experience.
