Location from the airport (10minute by walk) The food truck near the hotel

Almost everything. The bengalows have no windows, only shutters so there was a lot of mosquitoes.. (we are now covered by mosquitoes bites, despite having applied a lot of protection) The staff is quite unfriendly and globally not helpful at all. It’s a shame for a location that pretends to be a 3 star hotel, and that cost around $400 a night. The food is also bad and risky (we did not try to eat anything else than pastas as we heard various people around us talking about indigestion). The list of bad things is very long, it’s for sure easier to talk about things was right as this list is empty. The breakfast was bad, the rooms had a lot of dirt and moisture marks. The bike rental is very expensive, and bikes are in very poor condition. At least you have to be very careful about the bill : they tried to charge us some food during a day we were away (at a diving excursion..) they also tried to charge us extra costs on the (already expensive) bike rental. If you choose to go there anyway, you should definitely rent a car (they don’t accept to rent bike at night) so you will be able to eat outside of the hotel.

Friendly and helpful reception staff.. pool, pier and dining area are nice. Good location to access airport. Helpful to arrange excursions.

Dated rooms with old linens and shower curtain. Construction noise as they work on some of the rooms during the day. Food was ok, not great. Weak wifi in central area, no wifi in garden rooms. Bed is two uneven singles pushed together.

This is a beautiful, quaint property with a wonderful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and the staff was very helpful arranging tours and making suggestions of fun things to do while in Rangiroa.

We visited Rangiroa for the scuba diving and loved staying at the Maitai. It has a good location that is private and easy to use a taxi to get around. The excursions we took picked us up at the hotel for no additional charge. A supermarket is located right next door which is so convenient. We spent many evenings watching the sunset from the pool area and especially the dock. The room was spacious, clean, and comfy. The breakfast was included in our plan with was good having a large buffet. The food was good at dinner and a fairly good variety. We were welcomed by everyone that we encountered on the staff.

Nice location, bungalows and overall setup

3 stars is adeguate for the service. Nothing particularly wrong but you feel the difference compared to higher rated resorts

Location, pool and view. The service was very nice.

Not a lot of privacy as the bungalows are close to each other

The infinity pool is gorgeous, the views over the ocean are incredible! The snorkelling off the pier is first class but the ladder is tricky even for young healthy people, I would suggest they replace it with one that’s easier to navigate. Great to have a bar with nice cocktails (albeit a bit weak) and lots of good food options (albeit a bit expensive) when there is nowhere to eat or drink really on Rangi. Loved my garden hut even though the floor seemed a bit broken and the water went off for a while. I would definitely return and would book a lagoon-front cabin and stay for longer next time.

As above, prices are high, floor in cabin was a bit broken in parts. Water went off one afternoon. No table on the deck outside the cabin.

    Close to the airport

The costumer service quality was mediocre, you can tell that they do not care about their clients. The rooms are old but enough for a one day stay.

Great location (3 min from airport), newly renovated bungalows with spacious bedroom and comfortable bed and good fresh bathroom. Bar and restaurant are offering a great view on the sea and swimming pool. Good food with normal prices. Hotel offered also rental bikes and excursions. Just perfect to relax.

Property has a pool overlooking the lagoon. Snorkeling was quite good nearby. A/C in the room was great to have. Bed was comfortable. Resort is walking distance to grocery store close by and about a mile walk from local wine tasting tour.

Our room had a hundred or so "mini ants" all along the baseboards so I had to ask for bug spray and essentially fumigate the place. Room in general wasn't very clean in the less obvious areas like corners of rooms, etc. Breakfast was average. No gym or exercise equipment.

Excellent hotel with an equally excellent restaurant on-site. I also spent a lot of times at my friends hotel, the Kia Ora, and we both agreed that the Maitai was nicer at half the price.

The water is not drinkable, so you need to buy water for drinking, teeth brushing, etc. I would expect them to provide bottled water. On the plus side, there is a store under 100 meters away.

The Maitai at Rangiroa has a beautiful spot on the water front with a clean pool to cool off in if you don't fancy getting in the sea. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and happy to assist with anything. The hotel is very well presented with panoramic views across the ocean from the restaurant, bar and decking area. We were in a semi-detached bungalow which was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The hotel prides itself in caring for the environment and ensuring no resources such as water and electricity are wasted (as should be the standard everywhere!). We hired the bikes to ride the entire 9 miles of road the island has. The bikes are not anything special but more than useable! There are also kayaks available, all at extra cost. The bar is well supplied with a number of cocktail options on the menu. The restaurant has a small variety aimed at mainly local dishes which is refreshing to hotels trying to cater too generically so it was good to not see burgers and pizzas on the menu! Note that this is a very quiet island, with one lovely taxi driver! There are a handful of hotels, Snacks and Fares. It is also home to the only vineyard in French Polynesia which is worth a visit as they have wine tours most afternoons. The island is very different from others in French Polynesia which makes it very unique. The scuba diving is phenomenal if you are competent enough and get an opportunity to dive the Taputa Pass. The hotel offers tours to other parts of Rangiroa, such as the Blue Lagoon, Bird Island, Pink Sands etc. We would definitely stay here again should we be lucky enough to return as it facilitated everything we needed in Rangiroa. There is a handy supermarket just next door to the hotel to buy water as it is not recommended to drink from the tap on Rangiroa.

    Nothing!

The room is comfy. Adorable wildlife. Beach side is good.

Overpriced cocktails, much less portion but much more expensive than the bar in Kia Ora. Food is good but overpriced even for Tahiti standards. No water bottle after the first day or no place to refill the water. Neighbor of the hotel is not very friendly, yelling at us to leave the shoreside. Breakfast is very average.
