Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe hotel’s location is very convenient. It’s a short walk up to Sacsayhuaman and to the plazas. However, the walls are really thin and you can hear everything around you. I was on the third floor so you can’t hear much from the parties just outside the hotel. The breakfast is nice and the staff is really sweet and helpful.

AustraliaThe walls and ceiling are very thin. You can hear every footstep, every rude and noisy tourist, and the nearby music of the bars and nightclubs until the early hours of the morning.
The check-in process was easy, and the staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and warm with the heater on, and there is a nice outdoor area to have a drink or cigarette. The breakfast was basic with fruit, Cereal but you can order fried eggs etc. You can leave your luggage there in storage if taking a trip or tour and returning. Great location next to Plaza de Armas.

United KingdomBed not too comfortable but what you'd expect for the price. Pubs/clubs outside hotel, loud until early hours. Did not affect sleep inside the rooms and therefore did not bother us. This may be an issue for others.
Very close to centre of Cusco. Great for stop over to Machu Picchu. Staff very helpful with booking taxis and helping where needed. Rooms clean. .

United KingdomSmall rooms, showers were ok, sometimes no hot water. Rooms on the ground floor/below ground had low ceilings in the corridor and my partner kept hitting his head. Bit concerned that the room would flood as water was spilling over the courtyard into the corridor just outside the room but thank goodness didn't happen. There was building work going on in the room next to us so we woke up to construction noise and loud music and singing from the worker which was a shame.
Good location but quiet, ok breakfast, comfortable bed, good value room, we were able to store bags here for 2 days when we went to Macchu Picchu. Also had a late check out agreed (had to ask a couple different peole to get a yes for this) but there is a small fee.

PeruToo much noise during the night because of the pubs close to the hotel. Maybe they can do something with the walls and to put a roof to avoid the noise. We couldn’t sleep during 2 nights. Many drank people outside the hotel and close to the door.
Very clean, good staff.

Australiathe sheet on the bed had so much static the first night that we could see sparks when we moved around in the bed! it was a bit too noisy on one of the nights with the music from a club upstairs (I think)
location was great. we were able to walk everywhere. it is on a street full of bars and clubs which suited us fine because we don’t mind a drink or two. lovely staff. clean, cosy rooms

RomaniaYou could hear everything. There is a bar in the building and it was loud, also I think someone was doing karaoke. If you have problems sleeping while there is music on, this might be a problem for you
Positioning of the hotel is great and the price was fair. They also kept our stuff while we were on inca trail for free and in the last day they also kept our bags before the night bus

United KingdomThe pillows are hard rock! Not sure what they are made of but had a hard time to sleep. Plus I didn't know they have live music in the restaurant where they played rock music from 7pm until early morning...I slept ok as I was tired but i would check next time before booking if they have live music going on (I stayed on a Thursday) unless you enjoy it 😉 and go to sleep late
Great hotel close to the Plaza de Armas, the main square. 3 min walk. The staff were amazing, very caring Very cute hotel with traditional décor in the communal areas. It was clean, a bit noisy from people passing by all night long... Not a quiet hotel though.

Puerto RicoThey have a pub in the upper level and you can hear the music very loud in the room. And it ends at 2am in the morning that causes it to be difficult to sleep. If you have tours in the early morning this is a No No. At least I use headphones with relaxing music so I can sleep and function very well and also PM pills.
It was close to everything and it has a colonial type infrastructure . Hot water and very comfortable beds. good breadfast

South AfricaThis property should not be called a “Hotel”, it is actually a “Bed & Breakfast”. There was black mould on the room blinds and the roof of the bathroom and a lot of dirt and dust under the beds. Rooms only have 1 key per room so not convenient if you are in a shared room and each want a key to be able to come back at different times. Breakfast was below par. Blankets on the bed had hairs and feathers stuck in them. The pictures of the property are much more glamorous than reality.
The WiFi was good and the courtyard in the centre provides a nice area to smoke and relax without being outside.
