Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PeruThe only thing might get a bit noisy due to the train passing, but again the location was very convenient for us.
The staff is amazing. Mr. Pedro and the team were Very helpful and kind. The property is located in a prime location, close to the markets, bus stop for Machu Picchu, and gives you all the facilities you need. The room was very clean and comfortable. Perfect to travel with elderly and kids.

United StatesWe stayed two nights and the room service did not show up during our stay so trash bins were full.

Hong KongIt would be great to have our room made up early rather than late. It meant that we couldn’t rest after our hike. In the bathroom there is no face tissue or a glass to rinse your mouth. The twin bed room needs another sofa.
The location, the helpful staff and the delicious breakfast. The shower was wonderful and easy to use. The welcome drinks were a great idea and both of us liked the camomile tea.

IndiaEverything was good!
This is quite a luxurious hotel at Aguas Calientes! We had decided to spend two days and visit two different routes at MaPi! Since it was at the end of the trip we decided quite late to splurge on this hotel and it was a good decision because we had a lovely time relaxing in a river view room with the hot tub ! After all the climbing at Ollantaytambo and MaPi we could stretch and loosen our aching selves😄

TurkeyThis is not a complaint but we paid extra for the river view room which was extremely noisy due to the rapidly running water. Not a problem for us as we actually like the sound but might be for any light sleepers!
Location was excellent, a short walk from the train station and easy to get to the bus to go to Macchu Pichu the next morning. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and the rooms spacious and comfortable.

United StatesNot really anything. We had an amazing time and the hotel was a big part of it. We especially appreciated the cold water refill dispenser in the lobby. Ice cold water.
The room was amazing. Sadly I was with my son so I didn't get a chance to utilize the fireplace or jacuzzi tub. Our only complaint was we were at the front of the hotel and depending on what time you go to bed the train goes by at different times. I was so tired I didn't hear a thing but my son woke up twice the first night. The 2nd and 3rd night he was fine. They do have other rooms on the other side facing the river which I would recommend more. I have no doubt if we asked to switch rooms they would have done it gladly the staff was so nice. The location was the best. We walked to the ascension in less than 20 minutes and began our adventure. The whole town is small so your close to all the restaurants and it's impossible to get lost. There's a small balcony in the room we were in and almost everyday there was some kind of festive celebration that was just amazing to watch and share with family and friends.

United StatesNo washcloths. Next time in Peru, I’ll bring my own 😊
Location (very close to market and bus to Machu Pichu), staff was excellent, breakfast buffet. I loved the coffee and tea options. Marialena was a HUGE help when I got altitude sickness. Her intervention (Aguas De Florida), saved our trip! They stored luggage when we went to Machu Pichu and let us stay there after to wait for the train. Wish I’d had time to use the spa bathtub.

IndonesiaSince it's very close to the river and forest, you must apply insect & mosquito reppelent and prevent to open the window at night.
The room is quite big and beautiful compared to average hotel in Aguas Calientes. The view is execeptional, you can hear the river sounds during the night and very comforting. I love the en suite jazucci in my room. The location is perfect, in the central near station and popular cafe, resto and traditional market.
