Breathe taking views AND the hosts were amazing people! They were very welcoming & knowledgeable!

Nothing to dislike. It's rustic but that's part of the charm. Nature sounds can be heard through the early night but mostly chirping and not loud like howler monkeys we have experienced elsewhere.

Our host Gilberto was so friendly and full of interesting information about the property, Panamá, and the valley. He made us feel welcome and the view over the valley was amazing. (How many people can say they slept very comfortably on the crater of a volcano?) The running water and pool water are fresh clear spring water. Cool and delicious. The temperature was about ten degrees cooler than on the Pacific coast, so that was a lovely change too. The bed was very comfortable. In the morning we could see toucans from our window and out by the pool. Gilberto made us a lovely breakfast starting with local sweet pineapple (they grow some on their property), and a lovely brioche, egg, cheese and pepperoni meal. Thanks Gilberto. I hope we can come back again someday.

Ayled and Gilberto were exceptional hosts. The room has a spectacular view that makes the stay even more special. They helped us a lot by guiding us with recommendations on where to eat (they also offer breakfast for a good price) what to visit, and how to make the most of our time. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable. We would definitely come back here!

Though we never actually saw them, two of us were bitten repeatedly - so bring bug repellent. The road up from town could be a rough ride in a low-centered sedan.

Gilberto & Ayled were wonderful hosts at this Valle Anton property. Their place is perched on the side of a mountain overlooking the valley and as such it was not only very quiet, but also provided for many birding opportunities. Breakfast was delicious and our room (for 3) had its own balcony. Being a long-term resident, Gilberto was very generous with his time on sharing hikes and things to do in the area, from restaurants to a frog sanctuary.

This would be a difficult place for people with mobility issues. Although you can drive up to the house, both rooms require the use of stairs.

Best view in El Valle! The patio is delightful. We stayed in both rooms. The one in the main house has a beautiful little balcony overlooking El Valle. The smaller one below the pool also has beautiful views! Beds are very comfortable. Hosts are wonderful. Gilberto readily shared tips for local hikes and shared his family history of the house. Ayled is very sweet and cooked us a lovely breakfast. It is easy to share the space with the owners!

- both hosts were super nice and very helpful - Gilbert speaks English - breakfasts were fantastic - view from the breakfast/ pool area was awesome, view from attached balcony to our bedroom as well - the house is unique and well setup, high on the hill overlooking Anton Valley. -our room was large, comfortable and spotless - we really enjoyed our stay there

Ayled and Gilberto are such kind and lovely hosts! Breakfast was really good and the old house has it's own special charme. The view over valle town is simply incredible. Accessibility may be a bit of a challenge, though that's most likely gonna change in the future.

The location was on a steep mountain with lovely views and a quiet setting. This was clearly stated in the listing. It was walkable however need to be fit due to the steep incline. Transportation was needed especially at night and limited to taxi service however hosts very willing to pick you up

Lovely kind accommodating hosts that made you feel at home ! Good communication from start to finish. Private little cottage style room with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Access to house for kitchen and outdoor sitting area. Hosts provided breakfast and transportation at a fair price.

the access to the property is a bit difficult ,in the winter a front wheel car may not bee able to reach the top. some of the provisions need improvement like to hot water devices. the access stair have to be balanced and may be improved with a railing, the property could benefit from a good power backup (emergency generator).

the breakfast was very good , the hosts try their best to provide everything that is needed. the location is out standing with a superb view from the open outside porch the hosts care about every detail and try their best to accommodate their visitors and help in a very friendly way. you get a feeling their that you are at your own home,

Gilberto was incredible! This place has a beautiful view and it is a wonderful way to spend a night in Valle. Highly recommend it is close to town with a beautiful view and the hosts are so friendly and kind!

Lighting for the outside stairs could be better. WiFi at the lower guest room is marginal, but he's working on putting in a closer WiFi Access point.

We were welcomed by the kindest hosts we ever met, Ayled and Gilberto are very friendly and helped us a lot. The view from the house is phenomenal (overlooking the valley). It is peaceful and quiet. The room was amazing, especially the view. We could also use the well equipped kitchen to prepare food which helped a lot. The tap water (drinkable, filtered) comes from the mountain and tastes great.

hot water is from a shower head that doesn’t have strong flow if you want hot water. room was on the small side, difficult for two people. if you love stairs, this is your place.

The location could be daunting, but our rental car made it up the hill with no problem (thank you online maps!) The house and little garrets/rooms are charming. Jessie was very gracious, helpful, and made us a nice breakfast. While on the deck outside sipping coffee we saw a toucan!!!!! Flipped out seeing a toucan right there. We would definitely stay here again. It's filled with charm and character.

- due to its good basement on a peak, it’s quite challenging / exhausting to go there by feet.. not really a big deal but less sportive people should think about using the car to hike the hill ;-)

Kind of crazy road to get up there, but the views are worth the effort.

Gorgeous view and kind host. The room is large and private on the second floor. Very good wifi. Bryan is a great guy and cooks an awesome breakfast.
