Walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbor’s conversations. Rooms are not in the best shape. Bathroom vanity was nearly falling apart and saw cockroaches - probably coming in from outside but not something you want to see. Toilet seat had seen better days. Staff not there for much of the day.

Not too far from the bus station, near some shops and accessible from the Panamerican Highway. Room was a decent size with AC and cable. Free filtered water and shared kitchen were a plus.

The staff is not available at the property. You have to call them from a bungalow 25-30 metre away. (To be fair, they explain everything when you check-in, & you may not need them again) The swimming pool, which is advertised, was not functional. There was a cat on the property. (I personally don't like pets)

The property is in a quiet neighbourhood, a bit far(~1 km) from the centre, but taxi in this city is inexpensive (2-2.5 $ each trip) The room was large and nice. The facilities such as kitchen etc were good. They even had netflix available if one wanted. It was good value for money that I paid!

These are specific to the particular room we stayed in this time. No hot water in shower, but cold water wasn't super cold so it was a minor inconvenience. Light switch in our room was outside of the room and there was no light by the bed so after I reached out the open door to turn off the light i had to find my way to the bed in the dark. It wasn't pitch black but a light by the bed would be a big improvement.

Friendly staff. Good vibe. Well equipped kitchen. I've stayed here multiple times because I like it.

The people running it are nice and It's clean, inexpensive and in a great location. I use this place as my stop between Bocas/Almirante and Panama City and it's perfectly located for that.

There is nothing to do around. The food places and shops are more in the center, and a car/taxi is necessary to go there (or be prepared to walk a bit).

I was very well-received by the family 🙂 The room was comfortable and nice. The emplacement is safe and quiet.

The hot water was somewhat iffy, but most of the time we had hot water in showers. There was a dog at a neighboring house that barked loudly from time to time. Just wear ear plugs when sleeping.

no breakfast but full use of kitchen and very close walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and small park in front of hostal. It is about $2.50 for taxi ride if you want to go to David center for other restaurants. The manager, Mijail speaks English well and can tell you intersting places to go. In addition we took excellent tours with Bongo Tours from this hostal, although Bongo is not affiliated with the hostal. It was easy for tour guides to pick us up and return us to the hostal. Another thing to know is that you feel very safe at this hostal

Not much to complain about as we were just looking for a place to lay-low for two nights before our bus to Costa Rica and this was fine so that!

Not exactly in central David, but if you’re looking for a comparable place while stopping through on your journeys, there’s lots of reasons this location is actually ideal. A short (albeit uphill) walk to the supermarkets, fast food chains, and where the TicaBus picks up along the highway. Great AC in the rooms, decently well-equipped kitchen space, and a pool. The pool was a bit dirty when we arrived, so if you would to swim, ask the staff to turn the filter on a give the pool an hour or so to filter out the top level gunk. Staff were kind and helpful.

The room and specially the bathroom were prety decayed. It's a shame, because otherwise the staying would have been quite pleasant.

The room is in the nice and safe neighborhood. We were able to use the refrigerator, and there was hot or cold filtered water available.

The kitchen was very dirty, and the shared bathroom was not cleaned regularly and shared by to many people.

Bare in mind that you get what you pay for and this hostel is around $20 a night for a private room. Its good for one night as the bed was clean and smells fresh. The host was friendly.

Shower floor became super hot, could not stand on certain areas. The nob was also too hot to touch to turn it off. The pillows were a bit to thick for me personally.

Beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and the place was easy reachable by car. And they have cute cats!

Very down to earth, clean and homely. Like staying at your family. It is close to the bus terminal, and the big supermarkets. A nice and safe walk along the highway for a couple of minutes. The kitchen is well equipped. Definitely recommended.

Everything is worn out and behind bars - it felt like a ghetto. Staff let us wait for 1,5h in front of the property - even if we tried to contact them on every channel. It's a no-go for me!

We can definitely recommend this hostel for families with children. We liked absolutely everything: the pool deep enough for jumping, the basket ground, the sitting area, the rooms and bathrooms. And especially the totally friendly hosts - when they saw us hanging cloths to dry, they offered drying machine and washing machine.. And it is in walking distance from the bus station even with 5 to 11 year olds. Very close to shopping malls.

in the middle of the night I realized my pillows had no pillowcase on them…eewww (gross). the walls are very thin, you hear all private conversations. The guests in room 4 were horribly loud (talking and laughing) at 4am and then later they let their alarm sound for 5 minutes before shutting it off. By the. we had been awake since 4, so we packed and left (as did the other guest). very little sleep. the place is clean but needs some TLC.

staff was wonderful and the place was comfortable. shopping and fast food options within 5-10 minute walk.
