Reviews of Uverito Sand Dollar B&B

I loved everything about the property! It’s about 10-15 min drive from Las Tablas and sits directly across from Uverito Beach. If you love shell collecting or long walks on a quiet beach, this is THE place! The owners were amazing and took really good care of me as a solo traveler. Kind, considerate, giving…great conversations and an awesome atmosphere. Gringo Bill’s authentic Texas BBQ is a must try! Coldest beer available and Peggy makes a great margarita! I literally booked for only 2 nights and stayed for 6! Reasonably priced rooms. Clean and comfortable. I plan to return!

I got nothing!

Very friendly owners, helpful to orient to area, to meet people and helping us get a new guide when ours fell ill. 2 friendly dogs. Beautiful view on deck overlooking ocean, especially early morning. Near public beach which gets busy but not overly loud. Few steps to ocean for morning/evening walks. Extra charge breakfast was good as was BBQ. Coffee available on deck. Did a load of wash for a reasonable charge. Comfortable bed, our safe was temporarily not working so if that is important to you, ask about it. We had no problems. Has a mini refrigerator, no micro, which would have been nice to have in the room. Small soaps available, but other than that you need your own amenities. No hairdryer but probably could have asked for one. Overall a good stay overlooking the ocean.

Unfortunately there's not much to like about this property except that the hosts are nice and it's across the street from the beach.

The listing said this was a remodeled accommodation which is why I booked it. It's very far from being remodeled! They may have done some maintenance things that needed to be done but it is NOT remodeled. As soon as you walk in the first thing you smell is dog urine and another funky unidentifiable odor. I didn't know why at first but then saw the puppy pad on the floor with pee and poop on it, in addition to a dead crab under a chair that you can see has been there for a LONG time. Everything in the room needs upgrading. A recently remodeled accommodation wouldn't have dirty tile grout, rust stains on the toilet, shower curtain rod, a broken vanity light fixture, and the list could continue. I also booked this room because it said it had a terrace. There is a community terrace in the front but the room does not have a terrace.

Breakfast was amazing. Coffee bar was delicious. We plan to return next year!

Outside staircase was inconvenient.

Bill and Peggy are extremely friendly and helpful therefore we had an amazing stay for two Nights including splendid freshly cooked breaky! We Even had the opportunity to get some of the bbq with tasty sides which we were in awe of! Very helpful hosts who provided us with Games and Equipment for the Beach which is right in Front of the b&b. There are also some Restaurants nearby, Drinks are available in the b&b

The drainage of the shower in our room could be better, so you Need a Little time in between showers but that is manageable

The view is the best part of the trip. The staff were very kind. The house is like 8 mins of a supermarket and just in front of the beach. Quiet surroundings with eat options as there are several restaurants. I was able to let my dog ​​off the leash to run around the beach and the beach visitors were very friendly too. Some stray dogs around but no problems.

Unfortunately on their Booking.com page it is specified that there are no additional charges for bringing a pet. When I got to the property it turned out not to be like that, I was already there so I had to pay for it. The property has 2 dogs, sadly not friendly at least for my shy dog.

Bill and Peggy are exceptional hosts and a magical location It’s like going to your favourite aunt and uncle’s house where you are greeted and cared for like family the breakfast is just sensational no need for lunch If you’re lucky enough to arrive on a twice monthly BBQ weekend get ready for some Texas ribs and brisket

Rooms are simple and exceptionally clean and well maintained

The place to be ! Peggy and Bill (Tequila and Nikkie too) were very kind, welcoming and very helpful! we feel at home, facing the sea, in peace. I highly recommend it! a big thank you for everything 🙏

In an ideal location, across the street from the beach. Many places to eat close by, not that you would be looking for that as they serve a generous sized American breakfast and other BBQ meals throughout the day at a reasonable price. Great conversations with Peggy and Bill on their beautiful deck overlooking the ocean.
