We expected a bigger breakfast buffet - it is not bad, but considering the hotel chain, there could have been more variety.

Good location, nice pool area, comfortable rooms. Very helpful and accommodating staff at the reception.

The elevators were very slow and the key cards often did not work properly. The gym and sauna area also felt a bit worn out and not very fresh.

The actual hotel rooms are spacious, however other common areas are small. The pool area is nice but closes around 9. We traveled as a family with a group of 12, but there wasn’t a lot of common area space to get together other than the restaurant.

Tryp is centrally located and many restaurants are within walking distance. Local attractions are a cheap Uber ride away. The hotel is well maintained and clean. The restaurant offers different, tasty options. The breakfast items vary daily, but include staple items such as fresh scrambled eggs, pancakes/waffles, hash browns and or yuca frita. There is always a variety of bread, juice and fruit. In addition, there are Panamanian breakfast choices. All of the staff members are friendly and accommodating.

Not very noise-proof rooms...

Nice and clean rooms with cozy beds. The only minus was that you can hear the noise from the hall... The breakfast was very good and once we also had diner at the hotel and food was very tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. In general, I would recommend this hotel.

Not one thing. If you have to be in Panama City, this is the place to be! We came straight from the airport, and transportation and room were cheaper than staying at airport hotels that are not nearly as nice or comfortable!

The lighting in the room could have been better. Also, nicer soaps, lotions, shampoo, and conditions in the bathroom would make the stay feel more luxurious. The gym needs cleaning supplies to wipe down the equipment after using. The jacuzzi water was cold. The shower water was also just lukewarm.

The bed was comfortable, and the size of the room was great. I enjoyed having access to the gym, a pool, along with an onsite restaurant and bar. The front desk staff was very nice and cheerful.

The water was always lukewarm for our showers, so that was a bit of a disappointment.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location is great—quiet but easy to get around to other areas in the city. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The upstairs pool area is nice for a snack and a drink. Anna Gabriella, our bartender, was fantastic! The breakfast was good and convenient—a bit pricey at $12 per person, but better than other places. The coffee was great!

We stayed on the 7th floor and the room did have a couple of creepy crawlers that I smashed and removed. After that I did not see anymore. It’s some obvious mold but it does appear as management is working to remedy it

The property is in the El Cangrejo neighborhood. This is a very walkable area. Plenty of restaurants to chose from. It’s 15 minutes from the Multiplaza ( go to the atm here it’s $2.00) and 10 minutes from SoHo Mall where you can watch movies in English at Cinépolis. The pool and exercise room was a plus. The staff were welcoming. They had a decent breakfast selection but walk to Atypico you won’t regret it.
