During our 4-week journey through Panama, we had the privilege of spending a significant amount of time with Randy and Kat. They embody true hospitality like no one else and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It all started with our journey to Boquete. We were stranded due to a roadblock coming from Bocas del Toro, and what should have been a 3.5-hour drive turned into a 15-hour ordeal. Throughout that entire day, Randy supported us – not only with practical tips but also with much-needed moral support. Having lived in Panama for years with his wife Kat, his knowledge and calm demeanor brought us so much peace and reassurance in an otherwise stressful situation. We finally arrived after midnight and were welcomed with a big smile and the warmth you long for after a day like that. Since we arrived at night, I had no idea where we had landed. But when I opened the curtains the next morning, I was absolutely blown away by the breathtaking view over the Boquete mountains and the stunning garden, clearly maintained with love and care. Sipping tea on the terrace, binoculars at the ready to spot the beautiful birds flying by, dozing in the hammock… it was pure relaxation. Breakfast was a treat in itself – more than we could eat, and different every day. The warm-hearted conversations with Randy made it even more special. The apartment is spacious and thoughtfully designed. What I especially loved was the abundance of windows and the way Randy has integrated the space into the natural surroundings. And last but not least: Boquete is Panama’s coffee region – and Randy knows all the best hidden spots, far beyond the beaten tourist track. Be open to his suggestions – you won’t be disappointed. For me, this stay was living proof that yes, a room can be amazing in itself. But what truly brings it to life is the passion, care, and love poured into it by its owners. And here, it came all together.

Fantastic! Just go, you won't regret it. Heaven, our stay was wayyyy too short imo.

Absolutely nothing. Just wish I would have bought more coffee from Randy :D

Everything here is wonderful, amazing and just lovely! The casita has so many extra details for your stay, everything you could possibly need during your time in Boquete, rain jackets, night lamps, heater. Hammocks & pillows for relaxing. When booking this place I didn’t read or look up anything and honestly everything was such a wow surprise upon arrival. The breath taking views, the nature, the gardens. At night the million star views just incredible! This place is so beautiful, magical, peaceful, relaxing a true paradise. Randy & Kat are the loveliest, warm, open hearted people. Their hospitality and above and beyond service had us feeling spoiled. We absolutely loved everything about this place. And can’t recommend it enough! We left here with our hearts full & clear peace of mind. Looking through the album in the casita of how this place was built, truely moved me. All the hard work, love and passion for this place is evident and it truly is a special place. 🙏✨

That we had to leave and go home! 😩

Fantastic property and excellent accommodations. We absolutely loved our stay and Randy & Kat were so nice and accommodating, even letting us check out a little late. Made to order breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a bed & breakfast. We’re already planning our next trip back!

The drive up to the cabin is tricky

One of the best experiences in my live. The owner Randy and his wife were very nice, helpful, friendly and attentive. Location has an amazing view. Each detail in the room is made with a big love and very good taste. U have even raincoat if the weather is rainy, welcome very good quality drink (don’t want to spoil surprise), tasty coffee, and many more things which make your holidays unforgettable.

We just spent 4 wonderful days at this B&B. Randy and Kat have created the ideal getaway spot with casitas tucked into a lush botanical garden that includes winding paths and panoramic views. Sunrise each morning on the ranchito deck drinking coffee fresh roasted from Randy’s coffee plantation. Then a delicious breakfast delivered to the casita and a chat with Randy about our plans for the day. At night, sipping a glass of wine out on the deck under the starry sky with the highlight seeing the Southern Cross for the first time. Randy offered to shuttle us back and forth to town so we were able to easily book tours and restaurant reservations. During our daily rides, we talked about life in Panama, with Randy sharing stories about his life as an ex-pat and B & B owner. He has such a positive spirit and a great sense of humor. We also met his lovely wife, Kat. Our thanks to both of them for one of the most relaxing getaways we’ve ever had.

Randy was a great host! Very helpful with recommendations and knowledge of the local area. He provided rides to town and other attractions, like the Pipeline Trail, an excellent hike! They provided a healthy and filling breakfast to order every day, great coffee too! The Ranchita was a bonus sitting area to relax, enjoy the hammocks and watch the hummingbirds. Awesome view .

The suite has everything you need, even little extras you didn't know you needed. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at manana madera, I hope to return again someday. Thank you Randy.

Randy was an excellent host, had detail information on all places of interest in the entire province. Breakfast was the best we had in 3 weeks in Panama. But it was really Randy's personal touch that made the difference. The price is premium but he is on 24/7 to make it an above and beyond experience. I must add that he was even up at 3:00am when my our Tour arrived to take us to the local Volcán Barú. It was great he did since driver was a bit turned around. We experience 7 provinces in Panama, but Randy will be what I will remember from this trip. Thank you for your hospitality.

I would have wish the property had a kitchen/small kitchenette or at least microwave for leftovers.

Incredible!! The views and the accommodations well exceeded my expectations. Owner had hammocks available to use in gazebo and coats available in addition to coffee grown on the owner's farm. He included a local cell phone to use to contact him any time for help or recommendations. Breakfast was delicious as well. Will definitely return here for the tranquility and personalized service.

The mountain side view from your individual guest houses is spectacular as is the view from the gazebo at the end of your walkway. Fabulous night skies when its not cloudy. Each guest has their own small house with a large bedroom and living room. The (continental) breakfast you order the night before is delivered to your door and served on your kitchen table. Its only 15 minutes by car to the 3 most popular trails in the area and only 15 minutes to downtown Boquete. A place like this in the States would cost $1,000/night.

Breakfast choices are limited but you have your own refrigerator and microwave. You need a car (or taxis) to get here and the long driveway is very steep a la San Francisco, but well maintained. The roads in the area are steep, curvy and not very wide, but they are paved and well maintained.

This lovely coffee estate is off the beaten track yet just a few minutes up from the town of Boquete. Randy and Katarina could not have been more helpful and their property is stunning, with beautiful vista views of the valley below. The guest suite is a private casita that is beautifully decorated and built with custom woodwork throughout and first rate modern amenities. Thank you Randy and Kat for an amazing stay in your mountain hideaway! And for running down the mountain to find us with the coffee we left behind! You are true gems.

There is nothing at Manana Madera that is not top shelf.

Randy’s property is beautiful and allows for real rest and relaxation. The suite has a huge glass window overlooking breathtaking scenery, which also allows for amazing stargazing straight from your bed at night. The suite also has hammocks that you can take down the path to a covered patio for another view of the mountains. Randy goes above and beyond for his guests, including picking us up from the airport himself since his driver was out and then proceeding to get us where we needed to be through the duration of our trip for a cheap price. We felt like Randy was our dad (in the best way possible) ensuring that we made our way around the area safely, booked excursions with trusted providers, and offering great recommendations for restaurants. Another bonus is that breakfast is delivered straight to your lodge at your desired time with several good options to choose from. Overall, it was an amazing experience staying at Manana Madera!

Everything about our stay was fantastic -- the check in was so easy, the property is beautifully manicured with wonderful views, the breakfast was fresh and delicious -- but most of all, Randy is an exceptional host and a thoroughly delightful person! We hope to return soon and spend more time in the Boquete area.
