It was a bit weird the fact that I booked a tent, and they simply put me in a private room and charged me a bit more without asking beforehand. But that's not a problem because the room was better and really nice.. Just the lack of courtesy and sensibility to talk.

There can be parties at the beach until 3 which you can hear from the dorms, especially on weekends. The toilets should be renovated and more clean. Sometimes the water in the shower wasnt the best, and one shower for 6 people might be challenging. The kitchen is too hot with no fan and sufficient light, fridge pretty disgusting but workind and always missing cutlery and dishes.

The location is top!! Right on the beach and the surf school. The beds are extremely comfortable and with a light and electric plugs. The room is big and comfortable and the outside hammock is a blessing in such a place. The outside is very beautiful too.

It was too expensive to what you get. The cleaners are waking you up although you ask them not to clean. And the bathroom not so clean.

The pool is very nice and the location is amazing. The room was nice the the bed was comfortable. Big kitchen.

The bathroom was horrible, all of it was very dirt. The bathroom curtain seem that it had some blood. The sink had black spots all over. It needs some care and to clean thoroughly.

The beach was right there; opened the door and walk less than a minute to enjoy it, so they have an excellent location. The rooms are spacious and well distributed.

The dorms and especially the restrooms and showers are old and poorly maintained. The shower head was rusty and fall apart. There were lots or cockroaches and other bugs in the room and especially in the bathroom and kitchen (there are no nets on rooms windows). Very unpleasant for sleep and shower :(

Staff wasn’t around for any questions or help. It took us over an hour to check-in and check-out, because they weren’t around.

During the my whole stay, (7 days), there was a kid’s camp taking most of the space and a making a lot of noise. The rooms had a lot of molds (mostly in the bathroom). The music was really loud during the day, making it difficult to have a conversation. At night, the DJ was blasting music louder even if no one was there to listen. The internet was bad and I did not find that there was a good sense of community like other hostels I have been too.

When there are festivals or New Year’s event, the music is playing until 3:00/3:30AM, the bass is SO LOUD and makes the whole room vibrate. They warn us about the music but they can provide disposable earplugs for the noise.

Love the location and environment. The property is in front of the beach and the staff is really nice. Selina Playa and Selina River has a variety of wellness activitives.

I didn't receive the welcome drink 🥲 but that's ok, I had a great time anyway. It was my first time staying at a Selina hostel. I kindly suggest washing the bed sheets better please. I might come back.

A few mishaps at the beginning, booked at Selina Beach, moved to River by management. First room had a massive water leak, then moved eventually to a nice one.

The price for the rooms are very high compared to what you get. Also the food and drinks in the restaurant and at the bar are expensive. Its just possible to pay cash, what we didn't understand because you can pay by card everywhere else in Playa Venao. We received a welcome drink at the bar, but a welcome meeting for all new people like in other Selina Hostels would be nice to get to know each other and talk about the plans what you can do at this place.

The room was clean and comfortable and bigger than expected because we got an upgrade.

Maintenance is not really good. Relativly expensive, espacially since you pay extra for all the activities (and not s small amount!).

Really nice location directly at the beach. Food was nice (but a bit pricey). Surfschool is included in the hostel area. The rooms are spacious, silent and AC is working.
