The Attention of the host Simon was out of this word he was extremely courteous, he prepared us an excellent breakfast and keep clean all the zones of the house. The place was amazing but the attention just make it feel like home.

One room had a bad AC unit. We got moved to another room but the front door lock didn't work. No hand soap in the bathrooms.

Absolutelly perfect! Place is very calm and ideal for relax. Rooms and surroundings are clean, well maintained. Kitchen equiped for simple cooking. Drinking water and coffee always available.

For some reason our google maps gave us strange back road directions to the hotel from Las Lajas. On the way back we were able to find a much more direct route that didn't have us drive through grasses and water. Be mindful of roads when driving to the property. Definitely worth having an elevated car.

Beautiful location. You can walk within a matter of minutes from an extremely well kept pool to Las Lajas Beach. Property was very well kept and rooms were very large. We liked the balcony connected to our room that gave us nice views of the little garden on the property. Great access to a communal kitchen and living area.

Loved everything!

This was a beautiful small hotel right on the beach, with enormous rooms and modern bathrooms. It has a great pool and a full shared kitchen. We had the beach almost to ourselves, and you could walk for miles in either direction. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful surroundings very tranquil and gorgeous beachfront. The villa and rooms were well equipped and Simon was great. Kitchen was available and access to coffee, water and living room.

Great place to stay, just few meters to the beach. Even tho we stayed during the rainy season, we enjoyed it very much. We received all the necessary info from Maryuri and she was always on the phone to help us with anything. I want to give special thanks to Simon, who gave us lot of recommendations for restaurants and things to do on our upcoming trips to Boquete and Bocas del Toro, he was always there to help us with anything and fun to talk to. Many thanks again for everything.

We enjoyed the location in front of the beach and the wonderful garden. The house is very spacious so that the guests will always find a private spot for them self! Joaquin was very helpful on trying to fulfill everyone’s needs in the kitchen (for example). We definitely are going to come back!

A hidden gem! Definitely worth the stay. The beach is just a few steps away, direct accessible from the property. Pool is clean and has a good quality. The first laundry is free! Which is a big plus in this area. Very well equipped kitchen

New management have been at the Royal Palm Resort for a month now. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. It’s a beautiful house. You immediately feel at home. There is a communal kitchen. Coffee and water are free, there is an extra fridge for the guests. Wifi for free. The rooms are spacious and clean. Each room is equipped with a key box, so you don't have to worry about where to put the key. A pool table is available free of charge on the upper floor. The outdoor area is also beautifully designed and will be further embellished. Safe parking, barbecue, two outdoor showers, beanbags, a large pool with steps, a private sandy beach with beach chairs and beach cabana. Beachbreak

From the moment I arrived at Royal Palm Retreat, I felt at home. The house is well-equipped and very clean. The huge pool and the private, deserted beach were fantastic. This is the best place I've stayed at, right on the beach with beautiful furnishings. I loved that I could bring my dog and my own beer to enjoy ! Highly recommended!!

Dirty shared kitchen. Very very remote. No comfortable chairs/loungers by the pool. No generator so when the electricity went, we had no water /flushing toilets or WiFi etc

First of all.. you really need a car with a high clearance to get here. 4x4 recommended, but I suppose you can do without. When we were there, there were some very deep puddles on the road to get there that had me sweating. So again: high clearance cars only. Why we didn't rate this property a 9 or 10 (which it deserves) is because of a weird vibe it had that reminded me of a hostel. First of all there was a friend of the owner, both Romanian, that was pretty much laying on the couch checking his smartphone all day. That couch was right in the middle of everything, so it kind of felt like we were in his living room. Secondly the shared kitchen (again: hostelvibes) was dirty, especially the fridge. Maybe it was because we were in low season and the only guests but with upgraded service levels this really is a gem.

The property is absolutely beautiful and the location is very special. Its right on the beach, but on a very quiet stretch. We were the only ones there, which gave us a very special experience. The rooms are very nice, better than on the pictures with a custom made floor that really stands out. Also the caretaker Simon was very friendly and accommodating.

A bit of a treacherous road to get there, especially in the rainy season, but for being directly on the beach and with that much space, it’s not something I can really complain about!

The house was beautiful and spacious and had all of the amenities we could have hoped for. Gorgeous backyard with lots of space to relax and a big pool to hang out in. Simon was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed over the course of our stay. He cooked us breakfast each morning and was incredibly helpful when we had questions. He was very kind and I couldn’t recommend this place more!
