How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Best price for what you get in the city. Located close to the old town and coastline, the hotel offers clean rooms with comfortable beds for a reasonable price. Check-in was quick and internet worked fine. Shower has warm water. It was my second time here because I'm happy with the hotel.

Didn't have were lo place my clothes, I've been in other hotels for the same price and they had a small closet or drawer.
The room was ok for the price we paid.

This is my second time staying at Pension Corona. The first time was in Feb 2024. The wifi issue is still the same: their old system just cannot handle the entire building. They apparently added more 'repeaters' throughout the 3-story building, but the system just can't handle the demand.

Internet didn't work during our stay except if sitting by the door.
Good location, walking distance to boardwalk and Casco Viejo, but a block from a sketchy area. Hotel is low cost, basic, and rooms are clean. Shower was hot. Building is relatively quiet.

It was clean, and pretty secure since you had to be buzzed in the building. Wifi was good
Clean room, very hard mattress. Not sure why I had to pay more than what I already paid on booking.com Same thing with my car booking. I will never use booking.com again. 2 reservations for that trip, and both time the price I paid through booking.com was not the final price. Very disappointed in that

The area is a bit dodgy. The room has no window.
The best thing about this place is the price. The area isn’t the best, but it’s only a 20 minute walk along the seafront to the old town. The room is basic but clean with a private bathroom and air con.

They didn’t have an elevator, a refrigerator inside the room or an additional chair to sit.

Some of the staff was friendly, some weren’t really welcoming. The location isn’t close to anywhere interesting, but it’s cheap to take an Uber anywhere.
The room was clean and the place seemed to be quite safe (there is a gate at the front door, that someone from the reception always opens for you). There are some bakeries and small shops around.

Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but I am a solo traveler and don't go out by myself after dark anywhere.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Laundry service was available at a reasonable price. Very secure. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but the security of the facility was excellent. Literally around the corner from a Novey and ATM. Several minimarts and restaurants in easy walking distance. The Rey is walkable as well.

We had one cockroach appeared in the bathroom - it was almost dead and we actually don’t know where it was coming from, ass there are no obvious openings within the bathroom.
Comfortable bed - although a little hard. Hot water - sometimes it took a little to get hot. Pay -TV, room was clean (compared to Panamá standards), receptionist during the day is really nice. Spot is so-so - as you read, be back before it’s too late, otherwise we never had any issues with strange people around. Especially during the day all was good. Tomas metro station nearby. Price reasonable for Panamá standards, book online instead of going there, this makes it cheaper.

The pillows are not suitable for the orthopedic bed, it would be good if they were changed for more comfortable ones
Everything is in perfect condition, the truth is that me and my friend tripled the stay. I consider it a good place
