Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkThe road to the hotel is a half hour on s very bad sandy road - but it is worth the struggle to get to the hotel
Loved this boutique hotel with a private paradis beach - the staff are extraordinary helpful and friendly and makes you feel like a friend more than a guest. There is sloths and monkey in the tree around the hotel and hummingbirds around the restaurant- the food at the Resturant is really good and the menu changes daily - we stayed in the room with see view and private balcony - and loved tt

United StatesCan’t complain about anything.
This property was beautiful right on Bluff Beach. There is ton of nature, beautiful hotel. If you’re staying as a couple, I like to serve, so I served most of the time and my girlfriend hung out by the pool or chilled in the hammock while it rained. The staff was very accommodating extremely nice. They truly made the stay enjoyable.

United KingdomNo problems.
A great place to chill and unwind. The facilities are great and the beach is fantastic, although not for swimming. The staff were great, especially Choy, who helped with taxi's and tours, also thanks to the chefs, the food was superb. The highlight for us was the chance to see a leatherback turtle come ashore to lay her eggs and then return to the surf. The journey into town takes around 25 minutes and cost us $15 each way, so allow for this when booking. We used the same taxi driver, Bosco, for all our journeys and contacted him through WhatsApp when needed. The ground and pool were lovely and we saw a sloth everyday during our stay.

United StatesThere were no bicycles to rent - nor any advice re: how to find one. The lagoon one prior reviewer (who was able to borrow a bike) mentioned, well that lagoon proved to be too far for us to walk to (given the amount of water we carried; it is hot & humid and we just did not bring enough water). Another couple reached the lagoon the next day and they told us they clocked it as an 8 mile roundtrip. FYI, don't count on being able to rent/borrow a bike and if you do set out to "hike" to the lagoon, bring lots of water.
Breakfast was included (though menu of hot cooked items was basic). The rustic nature of the lodge. The background noise of surf pounding). Walking the beach (not a swimming beach). I also booked a massage (in-room) and that was heavenly.

FranceBreakfast is good and prepared to order, but could be nice to make some variation from day to day
If you want a chilling atmosphere on Bocas, this is the place. It's a 20mn drive (take a taxi) from the village. Wonderful staff, great and warm organization by Choy. Everyone is nice and will make your stay enjoyable. The beach is beautiful, 4 km of sand, more for surfing, so be careful if you want to swim, not impossible, but beware. Or enjoy a 1h walk to la Piscina, it's part in the forest, you might see some sloths. Restaurant is also very good, they change menu every day. You can also arrange some activities, to discover other parts of the island or the archipelago.

SwitzerlandBreakfast delicious but too repetitive ( only 4 options) +fruits and yogurt The road to get to the hotel is bumpy and it cost 15$ each way to get to town.
Beautiful hotel in a Dream Location, right in front of the stunning Bluff Beach and its waves sounds which you can hear from the rooms all day all night. It is really an Oasis and best place to relax. Food is delicious, staff is amazing and super friendly . Perfect place for families, couples and solo travelers too.

CanadaThe bed in King Junior could use a topper unless you like very very very firm. The binoculars are old and could be replaced. For other comments see above.
This little hotel is a gem. The staff are exceptionally kind. I was travelling post surgery and still in recovery/rehab, and I had left my walking stick in Panama City :( and so I asked if perhaps any guests had left a stick or cane that I could use while walking on the beach. The owner Paul was able to loan me a crutch of his and that was just one small sign of the attitude at Oasis. The manager Choi is both charming and helpful. Shout out to Alex for assisting in so many small ways. Jonatan and Ruperto and everyone else-thank you! The food at The View was absolutely consistent and excellent. Portion sizes are generous and all the flavours are lovely. We stayed 6 nights and ate at The View for 5 of them. If you want a front table you just tell them to reserve the same day. We also had lunch on the beach on 4 of the days. There were just a few small disappointments that had to do with the management changeover going on at the time, and were really no big deal. One was the communication issue when trying to contact the property beforehand. We believe this is resolved now. The second had to do with expecting there would be bicycles as stated on the website and in reviews but they currently don’t have any. Be aware the hotel is about 10 km from town, half of this on rough road. So if you want to rent an ATV or evoke you need to get a taxi into town for $15 to take care of the rentals, and then a taxi back, same amount. We didn’t do this as we liked the chill feeling of just being on the property most days. One night we walked up the road to Hummingbird for dinner and the food was not as good as the View, the staff not as nice. The restaurant ambience is lovely tho and would probably be better for lunch as it’s nestled up against their pool, and very lovely. We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Oasis Bluff Beach. Note: the new owner is expanding the place, currently completing a new building in the back with 8 additional rooms.

United KingdomIt is 20 minutes out of town along a very bumpy track so you are a bit cut off but that does mean you are right by the stunning beach and its very peaceful. . Be aware that the sea is very rough January/February and is for surfing only.. Apparently complete different in June- September when it is flat. It is also quite expensive for what it was but then I think most hotels in the area are
Beautiful location across the road from a stunning beach which goes on for miles and with very few people. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere with its own small restaurant with a daily changing menu and good food although breakfast is a bit limited. The staff are really lovely and very helpful and will help arrange trips . We had one of the rooms facing the beach which was lovely. You could sit outside it on a very comfortable sofa. There are sloths and hummingbirds in the grounds which is an added extra. A lovely small hotel

Lovely property across from very pretty beach. Beautiful outdoor space and sound of crashing waves. Nice outdoor restaurant with good food and lovely views Comfortable, well decorated rooms with big beautiful bathrooms. Lots of sloths and a few monkeys hanging out in and around the ground. Super helpful and attentive staff. The beach across the way had large waves and lots of surfers when we were there. there is spectacularly beautiful beach and lagoon called la piscina nearby. We rented ebikes and rode there and it was spectacular. Great stay at a super reasonable price.

Fabulous location. Great staff. The food at The View was very good. The Wave Suite had a beautiful bathroom/shower and a really nice balcony overlooking the grounds and the coast. Paul the owner is a great host. Choy the manager could not have been nicer and more helpful. The rest of the staff including Alex, Guiermo the chef, Maria, and the rest, made it a wonderful stay. RomaniaWe totally recommend this place! The entire staff is amazing and they are doing their best to make you feel like home. We had a great time there! The food from the restaurant is the best that you can find on the island. I want to give a feedback about the room that is under the kitchen because I saw many comments about that room. We had that room and it was no issue in terms of noise. Cheers guys!

CanadaWe had an amazing stay at Oasis Bluff Beach! The service provided by Alex and Choy was absolutely impeccable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed in the most incredible and personalized way, with a special touch: our names were displayed on a welcome sign—a thoughtful detail that made all the difference. The food was absolutely delicious, and every meal was a true delight. We stayed in a room with a jungle view, and hearing the soothing sounds of the animals was a unique and relaxing experience. The service was flawless, whether at the tables, on the beach, or by the pool. Everything was designed to make us feel pampered at all times. I highly recommend this hotel without any hesitation, and we will definitely be returning!

SwitzerlandThe coach in our room was smelling very bad because there was a water leak in the ceiling. Also, the room we were in was looking much brighter in the fotos. In reality it's a very very dark room and doesn't have windows to open, just blends to close and open. It was okay but we had expected something differenz due to the pictures. (Garden Suite)
We can only recommend this place. The location of the hotel is amazing - away from all the things and perfect to relax and enjoy an empty beach. All the staff is very very friendly and we always felt welcome and comfortable. Also the food was very good. The whole place is very down to earth what we liked a lot. We'll be back back for sure one day!! Just be aware that without a car you need to take a taxi to bocas town all over a bumpy road and it always costs min. 15 Dollars, often more, for just one way - what we found extremly expensive. I would suggest the hotel to have a few bikes there to rent, that would have helped us to get around easier and more economic.

United StatesThe only thing to be aware of is the fact that the road there is unpaved and bumpy so it takes 30 minutes to get in and out. On the other hand this means that the beach is very secluded.
Nice room, pretty garden and very attentive staff. They will sort everything out for you. Bluff beach is very pretty and basically empty.
