Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. United StatesThe restaurants and bars were not open consistently, even considering their posted hours. They also were frequently closed for private events. The property tours that were advertised never occurred despite asking twice and being told where to wait. They close and lock the doors before 1am, so if you do go out for drinks late (which is normal in Panama, and in this location), you have to consistently knock and wave your key to prove you are supposed to be there to be let in.
The location was excellent and the facilities were beautiful and well appointed. The staff really cared and were proactive in attempting to go above and beyond.

United StatesOur room had a musty smell. It is a very old building, that has been remodeled. Elevator was designed as a Time Machine - clever and cute. It stopped working as we checked out. Throughout Panama, when you order food, it is extremely slow before you get served.

SwitzerlandI had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Compañía. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of everything. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I especially loved the stylishly renovated rooms, which were both elegant and comfortable, with a super comfy bed. The breakfast buffet was generous and delicious, offering a great start to each day. One of my favorite features was the peaceful inner garden—a perfect spot to relax after exploring the city. Highly recommended!

South AfricaThe images shown on Booking.com are of rooms in the French wing. Rooms in the Spanish wing are not as beautiful and you can't specify when you book. We were very disappointed when we arrived but they managed to move us on the second night to the French wing which is absolutely beautiful.
It is a magnificent building and with multiple resturants, all beautifully appointed. The staff were amazing and the location is perfect. I would highly recommend Hotel La Compania.
