It's a bit of a weird town, but this has nothing to do with this specific hostel. The town is taken over by Israeli's, so the public isn't really mixed or varied.

It was cheap, it was near the beach, what more can you ask. The hostel is very basic, but you don't need much more there. There's an incredible amount of restaurant nearby and you can choose to cook yourself in the shared kitchen with groceries from the shop that is very close too.

the beds were super squeaky. i was on the top bunk and every time i moved it made a noise.

I think the kitchen area could be improved as it’s a bit croweded.

I had a good time going in the morning to the beach, I could to the nearest market to get groceries and food. It’s super centric.

The owner is really nice and helpful and kind .the kitchen is big and new . The location is right at the center very close to the supermarket. There is a yoga terrace and a biliard table . Even though the toilets are shared it was always clean . It is very basic but it is a good value for money after all

good location 3 mins from the beach, very friendly staff, the 2 women never stopped cleaning bless them - and it was needed! well equipped kitchen. bedroom had no window is my only complaint!

A very affordable Hostel with a good vibe. The host Eli was very attentive and welcoming. A great place to stay on a budget and enjoy all that Playa Venao has to offer.

The hostel is just a two-minute walk from the beach. The staff is consistently kind and welcoming, and they offer the best prices for surfboard rentals! The vibe is always friendly and laid-back, making it easy to meet other travelers, and you get so comfortable here that you won’t want to leave!

Staying at this hostel was an absolute delight! The staff were  nice  and I had a comfortable stay. Not to mention, the affordability of this place compare to other hostals in town  making it perfect for budget travelers like myself. Plus, being able to rent surfboards at such a great price compare to others prices  really sealed the deal for me. I couldn't have asked for a better.  recommend!

the lighting by the sink in the bathroom made it hard to see what i looked like, but I'm not fussed.

the location was prime! walk to beach in 2 minutes, next door to yoga studio, across the street from shops and restaurants. also liked the fact that they played decent music, none of the head banging loud disco beats of other area hotels/hostals. Having a little balcony was nice.

Rooms are really small and it's challenging to get your luggage in, and you can expect insect there.

I recently stayed at la choza during my trip to playa venao and it was a positive experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. The dormitories were clean and provided a comfortable place to rest, although they could benefit from some minor improvements in terms of amenities. The common areas were inviting, providing a nice space to relax and socialize with other guests. Overall, my stay at la choza was enjoyable, and I would consider staying there again on future visits to playa venao.
