We recently spent two wonderful nights at El Regalo Resort, and every detail exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and impeccably clean. I asked if they could arrange for a massage, and they brought in a therapist who gave me the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had. For a special celebration, I requested a small birthday cake, and they provided a stunning, delicious creation that made the day even more memorable. The resort itself is a gem—a pristine, intimate boutique hotel with warm, personalized service that makes you feel like a valued guest from the moment you arrive. The infinity pool overlooks lush tropical gardens and the breathtaking Pacific Ocean, creating a perfect setting for relaxation. Meals were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, adding to the overall experience. El Regalo Resort is the perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and genuine hospitality. We left feeling refreshed, cared for, and eager to return.

Only thing I could think of would be to maintain delivered food temps and proper cooking techniques.

Breakfast was very well presented and service was excellent. Room service the night before was cold lamb chops... not all that great. Staff was very attentive throughout our stay.

Would not change a thing

Off the beaten track - stunning location surrounded by nature. Great place to relax and do very little. Excursions expertly managed by Jenni if you want some activity. ( recommend the islands/ snorkelling trip and kayaking)

This is a very first world complaint as I can make anything work....but the plugs for phone charging were behind the very heavy wooden beds out of reach and impossible to reach. It seemed like if you moved the beds to the corners of the room, which was very large, you could access the plugs and keep the phones on the night stand for alarms. Again, a first world problem in the scheme of things.

A private small resort where we felt appropriately pampered without excessive fuss. I usually pick hotels based on location, decor and pricing. The El Regalo checked these boxes and I knew we had the options to participate in activities like island-hopping, fishing, kayaking and more if we wanted to. But when we arrived we were satisfied to stay put and just relax at the property, enjoy the private beach down the road, relax at their pool and have all our meals on site. And that worked for the lovely hotel staff as well. We felt very spoiled but in a comfortable way that didn't feel like we were having the staff at our beck and call. We occupied two of the four rooms and had the place to ourselves. The hotel is owned by a couple from the states who have made this their home. When you arrive, know that this is a private community that is gated off and once inside there are homes developed around this land with a shared beach. It is a bit of a drive from the main area of Boca Chica town or the closest town. For the employees and owners, driving these distances down mostly one-way roads are second hand for them. But it felt a little precarious at night in the dark when raining. Which is another reason we were content to stay put in the resort area. The attentive staff also offered to bring our delicious lunch TO THE BEACH for us which felt very indulgent. We also hiked up a small trail inside the resort area for magnificant views and some exercise. I highly recommend it. Our fearless guide Mavis, a super hotel employee, also took the time to help us locate the monkey families since she knew the land. The food was fabulous! We ate ALL our meals here and everything was a hit. Each day you are given a couple of choices and the chef can accommodate if he knows food issues ahead of time. There is also a Pickleball court, refreshing pool, and game room if it's raining. Luckily no rain for us, which was great! Thank you Melvin, Rene, Mavis and Jenny for a great...

I loved everything but the location wasn’t beach front, so you have to walk about 30 minutes.

The staff was super kind specially Mavis, the food was great, the room was very big and clean and the beds very comfy.

very far away from the bay - good 20 minutes walk to get a dip in the ocean. advertised as resort. Looks and feels more like a bed and breakfast

staff and owners were super friendly and helpful. they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. room was huge. I had to attemd a business video call and they made sure I had access to stable wifi in a quiet environment.
