Definitely one of the few hotels in Casco Viejo where you can stay super relaxed in this amazing city. Great hotel, fantastic breakfast, perfect location, and very nice staff. More than recommendable.

We had to change rooms twice because of traffic and street noise. Rooms on the first two floors and those facing the square had loud cars honking, people chatting, and live music spilling into rooms. Thin walls and poorly sealed windows let light and noise in, making sleep difficult. Eventually we moved to a fourth‑floor room facing a back street—no balcony—but it was much quieter. It’s clear that noise insulation in the lower and square-facing rooms needs improvement.

The rooftop pool on the fourth floor was a standout—quiet, with stunning views over Casco Viejo. Staff were consistently friendly and helped us smoothly when we needed to switch rooms. Breakfast was solid, with varied options and fresh hot food. The gym was functional and convenient for a quick workout. Valet parking made arrival and departure hassle-free.

The atrium is beautiful and I loved the live music every day. Everything in the hotel from cocktails to food to luggage service was great (they even stored the luggage of my friends who were not even staying in this hotel!) The staff of this hotel is exceptional! Especially Kimberly at the reception deserves a special mention. Nothing was a problem and she always maintained her calm and a friendly smile. I would definitely stay again. And the food in AMB Sabor restaurant is excellent! Go there at least once during your stay.

Rooms were a little small. The pool area needs a little bit of maintenance and painting but we did enjoy spending time there. Restaurant was expensive compared to surrounding area so didn’t eat there. Musicians playing morning, noon and night which initially I thought was a plus but actually although hugely talented it was a bit much especially in the morning when having breakfast. This put us off having a drink at the bar in the afternoon and again in the evening

One of the male staff on the last day was rude and lacked customer service. But he was the only one, everyone else was awesome.

While the live instrumental music at the hotel was truly excellent and added a lovely touch to the atmosphere, it started quite early in the morning and unfortunately disturbed your rest. It would be much more enjoyable if it began a bit later in the day to allow guests a more relaxing start to the morning.

Fantastic stay! The hotel was centrally located—close to everything including great entertainment and plenty of food options. The food at the hotel itself was delicious, and the customer service was truly excellent. The on-site spa was also a highlight—absolutely excellent and so relaxing. Highly recommend!

There was only one chair (desk/swivel) and a bench, so lots of room and no place to sit except the bed. Add a small sofa or a couple smallish comfortable chairs, iin additiona to the desk chair. !Gracias!

The ladder in the pool was unstable and too slick. Please consider replacing it. We recommend adding a suitcase stand to the room and some coathooks on the wall. Finally, more room in the fridge would be appreciated. It’s full of items-for-purchase leaving almost no room for our few drinks.

Three of us shared a junior suite with two comfortable queen beds and great A/C. The shelves were ample to place our clothing. The bathroom was large and clean. Every day we had a lovely large breakfast buffet tended by at least two attentive and friendly waitstaff who made perfect scrambled eggs and kept our coffees full. We loved the fresh juices and waffles. The lobby restaurant made a great burger and the upper level restaurant made a large serving of sancocho fit for a king. The lobby was beautiful with lovely live harp music for hours every day. The gym and pool were nice. In all cases there was pleasant and helpful staff everywhere.

Choice of pillows is not ok. There are 2 standard pillows which are about the same size and thickness but they are too thick for me.

Great classic hotel with a very nice pool on top of the roof with a view of the skyline. Super continental breakfast with more than enough choice. Very good bed and mattress.

The room was too small. The bathroom shower door had to be left open because the shower was too small. There are no hooks to hang a towel. The picture in our room, number 216, was is in poor condition and needs to be replaced.

Common area was excellent but the room was too small. The location was perfect.
