The location is incredible. You have a sea view, super relaxed, and a cool beach to surf. The owners are super nice and very helpful on any tips or things you might need.

We loved everything

Very well located, halfway between the surf spot and the Coiba tour. We were warmly welcomed, and our host was very nice to help us find a surf instructor when we arrived. The room was simple but the bed and bathroom were very clean, and there were towels and soap. The surroundings were very quiet and it was very relaxing. The closest restaurant is literally 1 min from there.

The location and cabins are very cute and clean! The place is well run and especially the hosts are welcome and have many good recommendations! I would definitely recommend this place for Santa Catalina (very central as well). Only if you are a surfer it’s a longer walk to the main beach (el Estero).

Great value in a beautiful location! Clean cabin with a hammock outside to chill. There’s also a gazebo to watch the waves. You can hear and see waves crashing down below. Beach access and beautiful sunset to enjoy.

We loved the room, it is cozy and decorated very cute. The views in the morning were amazing and the accessibility to the beach and tours nearby was very nice. The hosts had very good references for tours and activities. We had breakfast there and it was delicious.

Super kind owners who recently took over the hostel and renovated it. It is all super clean and cozy. The rooms have ac. The environment is super calm. You can have breakfast and get your laundry done. They are super kind helpful with giving advice for restaurants, activities, shuttles… You find many hammocks to relax, have good wifi and have a kitchen to use.

Casa Manila is a very beautiful property in an amazing location. There is a stunning sea view and the place is chilled and relaxing! I spent 5 nights there ☺️ The hosts Pia y Kike are so lovely and they give many recommendations on what to do and where to eat. I stayed there over Christmas and they organised a free BBQ for all the guests. It was amazing to spend Christmas Eve all together and I felt as if I was home! 🥰 I could not ask for anything better and I met very nice travellers! The dorm is clean, nice and cozy and free towels are also provided. They also make delicious smoothie bowls for breakfast 😋 Thank you Pia and Kike for make my stay a memorable one! I was sad to leave and I’ll definitely come to casa Manila again if back to Santa Catalina 🥰🙏🏼

Nothing everything was perfect!

Amazing location with a sea view, short walk (5 min.) to the center and Enrique (the owner) is super friendly and helpful! There is also a shared kitchen where you can cook. We felt very comfortable here.

I can highly recommend Casa Manila if you are looking for great Hostel in Santa Catalina. So let me start of with the location. You are located right at the ocean and have stunning view over it. You are perhaps only 20 meters away from the pacific and can take a dip whenever your heart desires. It’s truly the dream location for a hostel. The owners are even more amazing. Pia and Kike are always looking out for you if you are having a great time and are so friendly and polite doing so. The kitchen has some great equipment, especially a strong stove. The rooms are amazing and there is nothing to complain about. All in all I am very happy with my choice, so much so that I extended my stay multiple times

Enrique and his wife were exceptional hosts, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We traveled to Santa Catalina to celebrate my wife's birthday, and they went above and beyond to make the occasion even more special by organizing an incredible breakfast, complete with beautiful decorations that truly surprised and delighted her. It was an unforgettable gesture. Their attention to detail was top-notch, always attentive to our needs. The facilities were spotless, with clean, organized, and comfortable rooms. What we loved the most was the breathtaking view of the ocean, perfect for enjoying a beautiful sunset, and the location is ideal—just a one-minute walk to the beach. Casa Manila is truly a charming place. We 100% recommend it!

Everything was great.

Apartment: Everything was clean and working well. The rooms are spacious. The mattress was very comfortable, every room has a hammock outside. Nice outside area in front of the ocean, a small kitchen that does the trick. Location: 3min walk to Santa Catalina Beach, 10min to the center with restaurants and shops. 10min to the La Punta surf spot. Still the location is very quiet, directly in front of the ocean, with low tide you even have your own little beach. Very authentic with locals leaving nearby. Hosts: Enrique and Pia have been VERY nice and helpful, they even offered us to join their car to Panama City.

I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Manila. The location, the garden and the views are just magical. The whole atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. The little houses are cozy and tastefully decorated. They're also very clean and I slept well. On top, Kike and Pia are such warm and lovely hosts! It's also great that you can use their kitchen. I highly recommend staying there.

I stayed at Casa Manila for three nights and really enjoyed my stay. Pia and Enrique are very nice and generous hosts, and the room was perfectly clean and comfortable, with a hammock on the terrace. The view from the property is lovely. You can reach the property via the road, but there is also a shortcut into the village center along the beach and over a creek, if you don‘t mind potentially getting your feet a bit wet. Note the tap water is not suitable for drinking, so make sure to bring some water or buy it in the village. Also, the cafe in the village centre for which there are menus in the room is really good!
