Some photos can be misleading, like the villa with pool. It’s a different house handled by the same company. They need to update some of the room photos, since they don’t show the recent upgrades to the room.

I had a wonderful stay at Casa del Sol on Isla Contadora, Panama. It’s like a home away from home. The staff is a living-in couple, Alina and her husband Daniel. They were super friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond with everything we needed. Just be patient with a bit of waiting. Elena and Renata handle the booking. We had the Studio II room. On the Booking website, it showed a queen bed and a single sofa bed for 3 people, but they have updated the room with a twin bed instead of the single sofa bed. It was more comfortable than what we expected. The room was clean, with strong AC. In the morning, Alina would take your breakfast order, cook and serve home-cooked breakfast, which was very delicious. The closest 2 beaches (Playa Camaron and another one whose name I can’t recall) seem to be privately owned and closed to the public. They offer free shuttle service (golf cart) to pick up/drop off from the ferry. Just let them know ahead of time if you need to be picked up or not. I made the mistake of not letting them know I had an island tour before arriving, as they were waiting for me at the ferry. I would definitely recommend Casa del Sol to anyone looking for a place to spend the night or a few days to explore the island.

Daniel was very nice, he did everything that make us feel comfortable. The location of the Hotel is very good, you can walk to several beaches in a few minutes.

Getting hot water in our room was a gamble. By the end of our stay there was no water at all. The pump of the water well broke (luckily, Daniel offered us to take a shower in the AirBnB cabin they have next door). Would like to see the owners invest a little more in the property.

The service was Amazing. The room and premises where clean. Daniel and Alina took really good care of us. The breakfast was delicious, the house is located fairly close to playa ejecutiva and couple restaurants. They have golf carts for rent which makes moving around so much easier.

They picked us up from the ferry, got us squared away with a golf cart rental. Room was clean and AC was cold. Breakfast was awesome. Fresh fruit, yogurt Coffee, tea, juice, toast. Hosts were nice and accommodating. They had recommendations for beaches, food, and activities. They dropped us off at the ferry after our cart rental ended.We had a late check out without any additional charges.

We didn't have hot water, they couldn't fix it and we had to shower the last day in a small bathroom that was shared with other guests. Breakfast could be improved.

Staff is really nice and helpful, as its not that close to the beach they always offered to take us there and pic us up. This is a bonus. Its a nice b&b, but needs some adjustments to offer a better experience and a better value for money.
