Ac in all the rooms, and a nice livingroom and balcony. Central in Gamboa, and close to everything.

A great location to visit gamboa. A nice garden that attracted birds and wildlife. New air conditioning which made sleeping comfortable

Advertised with washer for laundry but washer was not available.

Loved the setting in gorgeous, serene Gamboa. Was nice to have a full home with comfortable bed, good shower pressure.

The host put much pressure on us to select an exact time we would check in and sent too many messages over the course of a week which was distracting from our trip. As plans often change when on an international trip, and constant correspondence was not possible when away from wifi, we tried to give him a respectful estimate of when we would arrive, yet he continued messaging for us to commit to a more exact time. We then felt rushed to get to him in time for him to greet us with keys before he left town for his own plans. I would recommend that the host allows guests to do self-check in to avoid the headache and pressure of all the unnecessary communication.

Interesting historical biulding. Very calm and quiet location, feeling like inside the forest. Very very helpful host.

I liked that there WAS a washer and dryer even though we got access to it 5 days into our 10 day stay. I also liked that the owner was kind. The owner asks you to pay IN CASH (no cashiers check, card, or money order) and he doesn't give a receipt so it is completely off trust that he will admit he was paid (which he is honest and he did).The house is a 10-15 minute walk to the Gamboa resort and there are trails near the house. The location is the best thing about the house. It is in a old military neighborhood where they are tearing down or gutting the old houses (as they should) and rebuilding. So there really aren't neighbors.

There were bed bugs that ate my family up, there was a serious termite problem that was eating the house and furniture, the house is NOT renovated it is just painted with thick layers of paint. The water does not work for HOURS of the day because they are working on the pipes, the main floor bathroom is completely broken so there is only one bathroom, the bathroom that works is filled with paint and the drains go very slowly. Since the tub drains slow, you will stand in a tub full of water and everyone's feet broke out with sores. The internet does not exist as advertised. There is NO Air Condition (A/C) so the days are miserably hot (not for young kids or old people). The refrigerator was dirty with someone else's old food (also the microwave). No parking spots, the house is connected to another house and they use both spots. The house caretaker only speaks Spanish so communication was not good and we didn’t know where anything was like brooms and towels until our last 2 days (he keeps them and only gives it if you ask. We didn't know we had to ask for towels). We paid for 10 days but left early because the heat and bugs were just too bad. We didn’t even ask for a refund, just left and paid for a hotel with AC and good plumbing system. Not sure why the other reviews didn't tell the whole truth. I feel mislead. I think people want to be nice because the owner is nice but the truth is, this house needs some major work and needs to be gutted like the other houses in the neighborhood. No offense to the owner, but people need to know what they are paying for.

Great host, full of information and eager that everything went smoothly. House has fantastic character, immensely roomy and on its own little tropical grounds. W&D were a Godsend and both worked great.

This is a very old house in the tropics cooled by fans. I loved it for it's character, just be aware of what it is.

Charming 1930s house in local neighborhood of very small town of Gamboa. Great location amidst the rainforest - we saw all kinds of birds and animals. The house is lovely, has high ceilings, fans, mosquito netting on the windows and is very comfortable. Gamboa is a lovely small rural place to stay and Jorge was a wonderful host.

Only one shower, two toilets. No AC if this is important to you, we were fine with the ceiling fans, which worked well.

Perfect location to explore Gamboa and have the freedom of your own house without a big price tag!

No AC. But they have fans. The house could have been a bit cleaner, especially since they charge a $30 cleaning fee (not shown in the booking price unless you read the small print).
