My stay at Casa Bodhi was spectacular! The apartment and the property are beautiful, everything is well thought out, comfortable and relaxing. The WiFi worked great for remote working. The location is great too, very close to Estero beach and La Punta. Daniel is a wonderful host, super helpful and ready to answer all my questions!

Beautiful place, super modern and pool is gorgeous. You can easily walk to the main beach from there but it’s also tucked away from the road so feels very peaceful and private. Really clean and the beds were insanely comfy 😍

The place is nice but the owner is a lunatic.

We made a last minute 1 night reservation with instructions on how to reach the apt, where the keys were left and details about the place. It didn’t surprise us since this has happened already in the past in other hotels/apts. We got to the place in the evening and the next day we left early for a tour leaving the keys there and everything in place. At the agency this unknown man all of a sudden busted in yelling at the top of his lungs, “YOU LEFT AND YOU DIDN’T PAY!!!! YOU DIDN’T PAY!!!!!” Our tour guide immediately tried to calm the man down. Apparently the reservation we had made didn’t charge us??? We have no idea what on earth happened. Usually these types of bookings where no one shows up, they charge you automatically, as it’s happened to us in the past many many many times. We had imagined it was like this since they gave us the instructions and that was it. It did NOT say in the instructions that we needed to meet IN PERSON and pay IN PERSON. We eventually realized this lunatic of a man was the owner of the hotel. We paid him that instant but what was really horrible about this was how he handled the situation. He kept yelling non stop at the top of his lungs saying things that almost made no sense like “YOU RUINED MY CAREER!!! THIS IS THE END!!” I grabbed my child and walked away. It’s not worth it dealing with people like this. My husband paid him ofcourse but it was all a horrible scene. The most interesting thing was that one of the guides working at the agency came up to us and told us to stay calm, that this man has a really bad reputation in town. A lot of people know him and he’s not a reliable person. His place may be nice and pretty but it’s sad to know by whom it’s run by. I hope he can control his temper and know better how to deal with cases like these.

    Property response:

Thank you for your feedback. I’m very sorry to hear that your experience was upsetting and that there was a misunderstanding regarding the payment process. Please allow us to clarify: our property does not use automatic payment collection via Booking.com, which is why full payment is required in person or through a prior agreed method. While we do send detailed instructions for check-in, we understand now that we need to be clearer about the payment procedure to avoid future confusion, especially with last-minute bookings. In this specific case we did send a message to inform you about the payment process. When you left the apartment early the next morning without any message or check-out notice, our cleaning staff tried to approach you, but unfortunately, you did not stop. We also attempted to reach you three times with no success. Despite the confusion, I want to sincerely apologize for my behavior at the agency. I let my frustration get the better of me, and I deeply regret speaking to you in front of others. That was unprofessional, and I take full responsibility. I should have handled it calmly and privately by not speaking in front of the group. I found it a little bit disrespectful that you still didn’t want to pay when I ask you and you say that you will pay when you will come back from the tour. Please know this situation is not at all reflective of how we usually operate. We’ve never had any payment issues in the past, and we truly care about our guests' experience and well-being. We are taking steps to improve communication and make our payment process clearer to avoid this kind of misunderstanding in the future. We sincerely apologize if our behavior was not professional. Thank you for your feedback that will help us grow.

Best hotel we went to Panama. Perfect location, beautiful pool, comfy bed and there was a basket of fruits in the house. The host was very friendly. I really recommend it, especially for surfers, it's 10 minutes walk from the spot La Punta

    Beautiful minimalist contemporary premises

Location - quite a dull walk from the ‘center’ of the little village, far away from the 2 minimarkets. However quite near to beach, river estuary and riverside walk. Attached to skating park in construction. Lots of plots on sale nearby, location will become more interesting (and expensive) within a few years

Casa Bodhi is stylish, modern, and yet homey with only four units, as well as a very private swimming pool on site. Perfectly located between La Punta and Playa Estero for easy walking access to close by food, shopping and surf. The host is wonderful, clean rooms, and plenty of extra towels provided for shower, pool and beach, they even leave you fresh tropical fruit in the kitchen for when you arrive. All in all a great experience, I will be back.

Thank you for the kind words! Thanks for staying with us as well.
