Amazing location, right on the water with beautiful views. Nice big rooms, and a great patio to enjoy. The breakfast is great and with local fresh produce. If you want to go fishing, island hopping or whale watching they'll arrange it and you get picked up at the properties dock

Very nice place with spacious clean room with beautiful view. Kids loved the swimming pool. The owner is a very nice guy and tries to help you if you got questions or other needs! The crew is really gentil and also try to make you comfortable. I would certainly recommend this place!

Some things need restoration but also gives the place an historical touch.

Very relaxing peaceful place, loved watching the toucans flying by while eating breakfast and the mischievous monkeys on te trees. The owners are very helpful and nice

Great location, quiet at night, great size room. Outstanding hospitality from Brad and Axee ( not sure of the spelling). Wonderfull couple, they will go out of their way to help you out.

Very friendly owner and stuff, very spacios, birds and monkeys in the trees in the backyard, close to the ocean. The owner arranged a trip for us and the captain took us directly from the resort. They also put in our room a crib for the baby and was very good.

Brad is an amazing host. From the room and your terrace you have an amazing view of the sea/islands. Lots of birds and monkeys. Breakfast is great. This region is quite undiscovered!

We wanted to get off the beaten track yet still travel in comfort. The resort combined these two perfectly and is an easy drive from the Interamericana / David. The moment we stepped over the threshold, we felt like visiting an old friend's hunting lodge in the olden days. The property has loads of character and wonderful views. The kids really enjoyed the pool and sometimes monkeys would swung on the trees above them. It's spacious and airy for the number of guests it houses and feels very private. Brad is an excellent host who can tell you everything about the area as he's fully integrated in Boca Chica. He knows all the captains and helped us charter a boat to the Islas Secas (highly recommended!) that left from the resort's own pier a few steps down the hill that overlooks the water. I feel that a trip through Panama isn't complete without visiting this place!

The hotel has a really nice atmosphere: the space and decoration, the location and beautiful landscape and the warm welcome from Axi and Brad and their friendly staff. It was very interesting to chat with Brad. He was very helpful with information for things to do and with organizing our trip to various islands. Having the breakfast with fresh fruit on the terrace was amazing too as well as hanging out in the pool with the view across the bay. We would love to come back.

We liked everything

The owners were very friendly and attentive. The resort was clean and comfortable.

Brad was a great host. Very helpful with local information and arranged a great boat trip to the island beaches. Very nice breakfast in the morning and we felt right at home.

The resort has a small boutique style feel, only a few guest rooms. The owners interact with their guests. The room was very large with a king size and queen size beds and a balcony overlooking the pool and water in the distance. We had a private bathroom and AC in the room. The property is very beautiful, lush green vegetation. My children loved watching the monkeys while swimming in the pool. My son enjoyed fishing on the pier. A small breakfast of fruit, toast and hard boiled eggs were available every morning. A two minute walk to the resort next door with fine dining and a tiki bar. Brad the owner even helped me arrange a sportfishing charter when my boat cancelled last minute. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here.

Dinner would be nice for an additional fee. The kitchen is amazing and would be nice to eat on property.

Host, Brad, is super friendly and helped with everything we needed. The hotel is in a stunning location, peaceful and perfect for quiet holiday, but with plenty to do and see.

Really nice mansion turned lodging, very good host who came from Colorado many years ago. Nice swimming pool and pier to the bay. Our room has two large beds can accommodate a family of four easily, and have good ocean view. We also saw monkeys on the property.

The road to the property can be quite rough (about half a mile from the main road), and one needs to be careful not to get your wheel off the tracks. The property is nice if you are visiting the area. The snorkeling trips may not be as you expected , the two places we went for snorkeling (paid tour boat) had no live corals, all corrals were broken dead, dead many years ago, scattered on the sea floor. There are a few fish in the water, and that’s it.

First of all Brad is a super friendly host! The hotel is perfect for you if you are looking for peace and quiet, in the middle of nature, away from the crowds. The garden is very well maintained and has an infinity pool, which is located in the shade of the large trees - elevated above the sea, which can be reached via a private stone staircase. With a bit of luck you'll see howler monkeys, you'll definitely be able to hear them :) Brad helped us organize very spontaneous boat tours - and was generally always there to offer his help. You need cash for the tours - you should get this in advance. The nearest ATM is further away. Lunch and Dinner is possible to get at the restaurant next door or at a restaurant in Boca Chica (just a short drive from the hotel). We really enjoyed our stay with Brad and found it difficult to leave :)

An amazing property with beautiful grounds and infinity pool. The rooms were all uniquely decorated and the details were very well done. Owner Brad was very friendly and helpful. He served us a full breakfast each day! This was off season so very quiet. We hired a boat to take us to a nearby island. Beautiful stay!

The facility is beautiful and welcoming. The rooms are very well furnished and the grounds well maintained. Brad was very helpful and accommodating with information beforehand as well as during my stay. I thoroughly enjoyed the very generous serving of fresh fruit and eggs and toast for breakfast. It provided a very nice start to my day of whale watching. (Another reviewer suggested that there should be more meal offerings but I don't agree. The neighboring Seagull Cove hotel which is only a few steps away has a very nice restaurant with a pretty good menu where I ate a nice dinner. I don't know their lunch hours but dinner begins at 6. I was originally going to book my stay there but Going Fishing was much more affordable and I think I made the right choice. ) I stayed during off season so it was very quiet which I liked, especially at night. Also, as can be viewed from the photo of an aerial view of the property, it is well surrounded by trees, which contributes to the lushness of the grounds however it also means your view of the ocean is obstructed if your are in an Oceanview room. However it is still a lovely and tranquil view and there are more full ocean views from the common areas. I would definitely stay again!

I got a little warm at times during the night because although there was an air conditioning unit in the room, it appeared and sounded a bit antiquated so I was afraid to use it. And I usually prefer to sleep with the windows open if possible anyway but there wasn't as much of a breeze as I expected. There was a ceiling fan but it didn't seem to help much. Also one of the windows had a screen but the other one didn't. Thankfully I didn't see any bugs or get bitten so it was ok. (Also, I might have missed it when I was booking but at least at the time that I visited they were only accepting cash for payment, so you might want to confirm so you can be prepared. Thankfully I was able to use PayPal.)

The location was amazing. The little suite is private and overlooks the sea and some trees with monkeys. Axi and Brad were great hosts. The cat Mia is also super friendly.

Amazing host! Amazing location with pool, great breakfast, comfortable bed and everything you might need the host will make sure to have it for you! The owner even arranged a water taxi to pick us up directly from his dock as well as organized a day trip to island hop for us !

Nothing it was perfect!

Very much liked this location, clean and spacious, well maintained, as per international standards. The view from the rooms and terrace is magnifique. The owners are very helpful and welcoming, it was revigorating to finally have a good english conversation at a property in Panama:) When planning our trip, Boca Chica didn't appear as one of the must-see spots in Panama, we just planned our whale-watching trip to do here, in order to have a halfway stop on our way back to Panama city, but having seen the location, we regred just staying one night. It is well worth a longer trip also.
