How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only 1 bathroom for the big apartment, a bit pricey too, otherwise all was perfect, apartment beautiful and spacious and airy.

Verified reviewNice to be outside town but not too far (2km). Also really appreciated having a full kitchen with a grocery store next door. The staff were very communicative and helpful over WhatsApp.
The fans were not working and it was annoying that one of the two bedrooms didn’t have air conditioning. However it did get cool enough at night that this didn’t matter so much. I didn’t pay more for the ocean view but I think it’s probably worth it

Verified reviewWe stayed in the studio with a private balcony (Estrella del Mar). Loved sitting on the terrace with a cold beer overlooking the Caribbean sea and watching the sunset 😎. You can hire paddle boards/ canoes & take them straight into the water from the pier. Bikes also available to hire. Rebecca was a great host & always available to help with any questions. The owner, Sterling, was a top bloke who kindly dropped us back at the airport! It’s about a 20 min walk to town or you can jump in a taxi for $1 each. (During the day walk along the beach to cut the corner off & avoid the traffic on the main road)

Verified reviewThe value of the place was amazing. It's hard to tell from the photos how stunning the location, home and view is... sitting on the deck looking out at the sailboats was a picturesque feeling I will never forget!
Given the beautiful setting in the house of being wall to wall windows facing the sea (stunning) it did get hot inside from the greenhouse effect. I am not into AC normally but I had to keep it on all the time to make it manageable (opening all the windows for a crossdraft was lovely). Perhaps an additional A/C for the upstairs bedroom would help (as they have in the lower bedroom).

We enjoyed the peaceful location, the wonderful sea view, the terrace with the hammocks- a great place to start your morning and watch the sunset, the kitchen was very convenient and we were very close to the super market. And lastly, Rebecca the host was super nice and helpful. We highly recommend!

Verified reviewThe condo was clean and beautiful with a gorgeous view, the AC worked well, it felt safe and secure, and both the host and owner were super friendly and helpful people. The location was great - close enough to town, yet far enough to be peaceful - we even snorkeled in the bay and saw some nice corals and fish. The dock out front was very handy for excursions and boat taxis, and the end of the dock has a lovely lounge and social area. Kitchen was excellent and well-equipped, and overall the condo was well-appointed with nice decor and useful touches. There is a grocery store a few doors away that was well-supplied and had a large variety of goods, and several restaurants nearby that are perfect for some local-style meals.
NOTE: I am extremely sensitive so this may not be noticeable to others. Expect a little party noise from the neighbors, and some street noise during day from the island's road construction vehicles. Also not sure what is next door, but it smells like a sanitation plant and on occasion the smell would waft into the bedroom upstairs. Some ant control is needed, but that is typical of tropical environments and if you are vigilant with keeping everything clean, they do not bother you. Even with these very minor negatives, we absolutely loved the place and would happily stay here again!
