- Good location (close to a metro station) - They let me check in early

I've been using Booking.com for 9 years and this is the first time that I've felt the need to write a review... - When I arrived, the man working there (son of the owner) asked me to pay in cash (which I was going to do anyway) and said that he didn't have change on him but he would bring it to me in about 5 minutes. I waited in the hall for about an hour and there was no sign of him. I saw him later on that day and he said that he was busy working at the time but he would bring the money to my room soon. A few minutes later, I saw him walking around the place watching a video on his phone. I saw him a couple of times again over the next two days and each time he said he would bring me my change soon. As I did not have an Internet connection while I was out and could not let him know exactly when I would be back, I suggested that he could slip the money under my door. He said that was a good idea and on two occasions he said that he would do that. It was only a small amount of money but I am very disappointed about never receiving the change and the repeated dishonesty. I understand that it can be a bit difficult to find some change in cash sometimes but it should not be impossible for a business that only deals in cash and is located in the middle of a big city to find some within two days! - The accommodation was more basic than I had expected as I didn't realise that it was a hostel (with 'hostel rules' posted all around) - Also, I was told that the area was safe but I was robbed about a block away from the apartment on my way to the airport.

The flat was in a good location - in a street close to the metro, a supermarket and restaurants. The room was quite small but fine for 3 nights and the air conditioning worked very well. Nice, friendly place.

Everything was fine, very nice accommodation. I'm definitely coming back here anytime I am traveling to Panama 🇵🇦

Alan is a super host. Allowed us to early check in and late check out. On arrival, he shared with some tips about this area, where to eat, where to shop, what to see. Location itself, is amazing, shops, restaurants, bars, underground in a walking distance, 5min walk. Will definitely stay here if visiting Panama next time.

I liked everything about this, the location, the price, and the fact that they accommodated me at the last minute. Will definitely be staying here again.

I stayed twice and really liked this place in a modern and safe part of Panama City. Lucia was a great host, who was kind, attentive but also laid back. Comfortable room with excellent AC. Good kitchen and laundry facilities and a really nice balcony overlooking the city. Highly recommend staying here.

The only downside was sometimes not enough bathrooms for all the guests and I had a bit of a wait.. Otherwise cannot fault it.

Perfect place to visit Panama City. Its not in the old town but that is just the thing we liked. We stayed between the high buildings and are really close the metro station to move wherever we wanted.

The kitchen could be a bit more furnitured.

Alan and his lovely mother Lucia provide a comfortable, clean environment. The location is fantastic. The metro is two blocks away. Uber is cheap and reliable. The room was very clean and comfortable, as were the shared spaces. Wifi worked well. Being able to do my laundry and let it dry in the wind (in literally hours) was icing on the cake. This is a great place for longer stays too. Thank you for your hospitality, Alan and Lucia!

Very good location, short walk to Metro station, and many shops, restaurants, and markets nearby. The sleeping rooms are quite small but perfectly adequate. Nice kitchen to use. The whole place is very clean, and it's quiet and peaceful. Highrise location provides excellent vistas out over the city from the 2 balconies. Can use the excellent modern washing machine. Pleasant hosts. Easy access in and out of the building.

Alan and Lucia are very pleasant people. I highly recommend. Panamá City is very warm. The people are very nice.

A surprisingly spacious apartment with a large balcony. Exceptionally clean. Great hosts. Perfect location near a cheap fonda where I ate all my meals(to the right and a few stores down once you leave the apartment). Loved the fact there was a well-stocked kitchen and storage space for each guest. Also the presence of a laundry machine was great. Very close to the metro station and in an area with lots of wonderful restaurants.

There was only one bathroom which can be an inconvenience for those who need to use it frequently. It was unclear how to exit the building without the use of a key. Upon leaving, I had to leave my luggage in the lobby propping the door open and run upstairs to give the key back.

Very good price in a central safe location 4 minutes to the Metro. Nice balcony where you can view the skyline. Strong air-conditioning. Laundry machine for guest use. The apartment is well decorated and maintained. The owner and her son live on floor up in the same building so are always available to assist. Great affordable option to stay in central Panama City.

Decent but small room. Nice hosts but VERY BASIC and no where near the score it gets. The room is small for a single and would be tiny for two people. Lots of restaurants nearby and near the subway but nowhere near any attractions. Just a basic room with almost nothing to make it more than a shelter for your stay.

No toiletries, no hand soap, no blanket, no hot water, nothing to decorate the walls or any attempt to make it warm or charming. The neighborhood is safe because there are 2 large Casinos nearby so in the evening the street fills with security and lots of prostitutes. Room was not ready for check in even though I sent nemerous messages regarding my arrival time. If I was looking for a basic room it would be fine but I felt deceived by the rating which does not reflect the accommodations in a realistic way. Not recommend.

The location is absolutely central! The room & overall area clean! It is an apartment where we had 4-5 rooms occupied by different persons and a common area of cooking, dining etc. The owner Luisa and her son Alan were too kind! They helped me with guidance for siteseeing as well as with laundry(free) etc. The facilities were adequate. Wifi good! Hot water shower! A balcony (overlooking Panama City), can be used for having dinner / coffee etc !

The room was a bit smaller for my own large sized persona -:) The area left for walking in the room after the bed & storage area is a bit small. They compensate that by a really large wardrobe and separate storage area for bags etc INSIDE the room! But no complaints, I could use area outside the room when wanted! It was good value for money!

The location is super!

Hot water is like warm water. It might be typical in Panama.
