How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThis camp was absolutely amazing – luxurious huts equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect: right in the heart of the desert, surrounded by peace, silence, and stunning landscapes. Climbing the dunes for sunset was truly magical. The staff was very caring and friendly. It’s a place to relax, be inspired and disconnect from the world. Especially because there are only two huts and a small house. Definitely recommend a stay here!

Verified reviewLooks great on paper, but reality falls short TLDR: No camels at camp, only one bike (which broke), no guide, AC doesn’t cool the bed, activities don’t match what’s advertised, and cost-cutting everywhere. We were really excited about our stay — the photos looked stunning, and the catalog promised camel rides, dune biking with a guide, and other desert activities. In reality, almost none of that materialised. Activities: misleading and overpriced When we arrived, we were told only sunset dune bashing was available. Camel riding and biking with a guide — both prominently advertised in the catalog sent two months and one day before our stay — were not available. That was deeply disappointing. • Dune bashing lasted 10 minutes. The rest was just road driving to a sunset spot. We paid 25 OMR “per group”, but still had to share the ride with another couple. We assumed “per group” meant per car, not sharing. • Camel ride? Suddenly “not in season” — even though we saw camels at other camps. Then we were told we could ride, but only for sunrise and at another camp, for 35 OMR per person, nearly double the advertised price. • Biking? There was only one working bike. No guide. We were told to bike around the camp on the road (not dunes). The catalog literally shows someone biking on dunes. The bike later broke, and we had to walk back. Facilities & Air-conditioning: pretty but poorly planned The camp is solar-powered, which we respect — but they cut the AC from 5:30pm to 8:00pm without informing guests. When I asked, the owner just said it would work “again at night,” which wasn’t helpful. Even when the AC is on, it can’t cool the upstairs sleeping area where the bed is. It was so hot, I ended up sleeping on the sofa downstairs while my partner braved the heat upstairs. Not quite the romantic stay we imagined. Other things to note: • Outdoor lights on the porch don’t work or can’t be controlled by guests, so no enjoying the view at night. • Booking.

Verified reviewAbdullah's availability, in addition to the incredible elevated position of the structure, at the foot of some giant dunes, made the stay super. the dinner served in the room was excellent, with even 3 types of meat for example. also the possibility of doing activities (paying extra) was fun.
I can only suggest finding a way to bring cold air to the mezzanine level, where the bed is located.

Verified reviewIt was a real adventure in the sands! We stayed in an amazing house in the heart of the desert - clean, cozy, cool thanks to the air conditioning, and around there is silence and endless dunes. Everything here is done with soul. The owner is an incredibly kind and attentive person, as is his entire team. We were greeted like old friends. Breakfasts and dinners are a separate story. Each meal was like a small holiday: aromatic dishes, a wide choice and amazing taste! Unexpectedly for the desert - but here the cuisine is at the level of the best restaurants. And also activities: riding on the dunes, sunset walks, stars above your head, as if from another reality. This place gives not just comfort, but emotions and memories for a lifetime. Thank you for this magic in the desert!

Verified reviewThis stay was one of our highlights during our trip to Oman. Not only were we cared for by our host and the staff but we also enjoyed the quiet and the calmness of the desert. A big plus is the food which is cooked by two lovely gentlemen and served right in front of our hut. The AC and fan keep the inside cool for sleeping. At night we had a romantic fire while looking at the stars. Our host also gave us a wonderful tour with dune bashing and he was friendly, polite and welcoming. We will come again as we felt very relaxed and happy!
Everything was perfect for us!

Verified reviewAbdullah was very kind and took us to and from the property. The breakfast prepared was lovely! The stargazing at night was amazing!! The one thing to be aware of was the parking, you leave your car in an open area which does not feel very secure but otherwise a great stay!

Verified reviewThis place is absolutely stunning! With only two bungalows in the camp, it feels incredibly private—you’ll have the breathtaking desert views almost entirely to yourself. At night, the absence of light pollution makes for an unforgettable stargazing experience. The camp is run by Abdullah and his lovely family, who are warm and welcoming. The bungalow looks exactly like the pictures, and the food is both delicious and plentiful. They also offer activities like camel rides and dune bashing at reasonable prices. Overall, a fantastic experience—I highly recommend it!

Verified reviewGood private location, but it will change soon - there will be more bungalows around.
Abdullah can not speak any English and not interested to share any information at all. Anything ask, he just ignores or lies. Its all about money for him. Other (Bubble bungalow close to) owner Hamed was finally the one to tell us about camels, scorpions in desert and Oman in general. If I would know that before, we would choose his place for sure.

The mattress and sofa were incredibly cozy, making our stay even more enjoyable. The bathroom was fully functional, with a comfortable water temperature, allowing us to take a refreshing shower after a day in the desert. The food was absolutely delicious! Chef Mohammed puts his heart into every dish, and you can truly taste the passion in his cooking. Everything was incredibly tasty! A special thanks to the host, Abdullah. He is very friendly, always available, and ready to assist with anything you need. He even organized a small desert safari for us, which was an unforgettable experience!

Verified reviewSuch a peaceful time in the desert in a house that feels luxurious, comfortable and very clean. The hosts are incredibly kind and the views are amazing. It’s only 2 houses so if you’re looking for privacy and quiet time it’s much better than big camps!
