How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Other residents which seemed to be living there didn’t keep the kitchen clean. I thought it was expensive compared to other places we’d stayed as we didn’t have our own bathroom.
Basic but comfortable room. Although staff were not present at the property they answered messages quickly and were helpful. I was quite sick so it wasn’t good to be able to stay another night and not have move rooms. The cleaning staff were thorough but the other residents didn’t keep the kitchen clean unfortunately. It was quiet. There’s a laundry and a large washing line which was great.

Fairly basic, but that was fine. It was a good price, and I was travelling on short notice, so it was very convenient.

There's no tv in your room. But with the good wifi I was able to stream Freeview on my lap top just fine.
Im a tradesman and I travel a lot for work. For the price it was a perfect stay. It even included towels for free. (other accommodation for this price in Blenheim doesn't) Really good free Wifi. The are was nice and quite so I got a really good sleep. I really enjoyed the self check in so you don't have to talk to anyone. Will definitely be staying again.

While the shared areas were clean enough, I was reluctant to walk on the carpet of my private room without shoes. The carpets are due for renewal & decor/paint ready for spruce up. If you’re a couple, value for money is good, but if travelling solo, you may want to consider your options.
There is onsite parking & laundry.

Stayed in two different rooms, second room number 14 had a couple of issues. Very loud by the roadside and the constant floodlight kept coming through the window at the front of the building.
Facilities were great and so was the accommodation manager Craig. Really enjoyed my time there. Everything was very cleaned and well maintained overall pleasant stay 👍

We didn't use the room. I am a disabled person. Was expecting same faciloties as standard motel. Phoned your contact person to say i couldn't stay at this room. I asked for a refund

3 locked key entry doors to get into and out of our room was a tad unnecessary. We were advised earlier, however is was unpleasant. Had to go outside in the rain, walk to the rear of the building to enter another building for a cup of tea, toilets, and showers in my pyjamas!!! Far too exposed to weather and street frontage in pj's for my age. It was unclear if coffee and tea were free. I think I used someone's personal supply, sorry. All a bit weird. Photo on street frontage not the same,so some confusion looking for the place. Last thing, the email from managenent to me told me to "Please make sure you take all my belongings with you" Perhaps they may want to change this lol.
Room was spacious, warm and clean. Thoughtful extra power points, an oil heater kept us warm. Extra duvet provided when asked. Towels delivered when asked. Manager was helpful
