    We didn't stay long enough

Loved it, the chalets are spacious and beautiful, so many great touches. Near the road but very quiet, private outlook, lovely environment. Set amongst rocks and gardens, their own glow worm grotto, with beautiful glow worms. A shared area with a pizza oven and laundry and so many extras available. The hosts are so lovely and accommodating. If you don't love The Rocks, you have no soul.

The chalets had everything we needed and were absolutely spotless. Leanne was very helpful and lovely and accommodated our request to be close to family who had also booked a chalet there. As a group, we were able to use the communal kitchen, which was ideal. The glow worm cave was also a highlight for the kids.

The best welcome and tour of facilities I have ever had, hands down. I felt very welcome. The chalet was very roomy and comfortable, large bathroom with separate toilet, the shower was so good! Everything I think I would need was provided for in this room and I loved the layout. The room entrance was at the opposite end, away from the carpark - I'm a private person, so really appreciated that. The Glow Worm Grotto was a nice little added feature, and love the little touches to make it a special area. It's only a minute away before driving into the main street of Takaka, so close to shops but far enough to have some peace & quiet.

Bed was soft and sunk in the middle.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at The Rocks Chalets. The chalet was spacious, comfortable, and had a lovely outdoor area to relax in. The location is good—quiet yet conveniently close to some great walks. One of the highlights of our stay was seeing a stunning starling murmuration, an unexpected and mesmerising treat. Another memorable moment was visiting the little cave on-site at night. The entrance is lit with charming fairy lights, and inside we some glowworms!

    Nothing, we enjoyed it all.

The property was lovely. The chalets were excellent and beautifully maintained and cleaned. There were private areas to sit and shred areas as well. There was also a cave with glow worms which was very cool. Overall a wonderful experience.

Double bed: matras is not that good, but I must admit I am quite sensitive.

Very friendly host. Spacious and comfortable room. Each chalet has its own patio and garden table. We did not have problems with mosquitoes, but should there be any, multiple insect repellant devices are provided. Extensive kitchen equipment. Whatever is not provided in the chalet itself is provided in the common kitchen, e.g., oil, soy sauce, bigger pans, pizza oven. Washing machine and drier available in the common area. Good shower.

We appreciated the very friendly and compassionate hosts who gave some extra care after what had been a very tough day. The view of the rocks out the window were cool, the private seating areas were also a lovely touch. We enjoyed taking a look at the glow worm grotto. The Lazer and fairy lights were a hit with our 4 year old. Very clean and we'll appointed room.

There was nothing not to like just wish we could have stayed longer - definately not your generic hotel room !

These chalets are uniquely set amongst natural rock formations and are very private . Interiors are like being in a well provisioned cosy but spacious cabin . Loved the outdoor bathtub ! Bathrooms spacious too . Communal pizza oven and washing machine facilities
