Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bath once we found some paper to light the fire to heat it . The two matches were a challenge for 3 nights but we rose to it. Added a bit of spark to our life.

New ZealandThe bathroom situation - the toilet is a sawdust set up. It wasn’t meant to smell but it did, even with the lid always down. I’ve used the same toilet situation before this and never had any issues. The shower was in the same room as the toilet so having a shower was pretty unpleasant as it smelt. It also attracted lots of big blow flies which hung around all the time, in the bathroom and outside. There must have also been a wasp nest somewhere nearby as there was lots hanging around, specifically around the grape vines. Although it seemed to be a quiet area, there was always cars going up and down the gravel driveway. And maintenance on the property started early and went on and off all day, so it wasn’t often peaceful.
The view was to die for, amazing! The outdoor bath was such a perfect touch and really relaxing, I also loved how it was repurposed from an old freezer. The bed & pillows were perfect. The amount of blankets & pillows was also perfect. I liked that the location was a reasonably easy walk from Pohara centre itself - including the restaurants/mini supermarket and the beach. I really appreciated how there was rubbish disposal for everyday rubbish, recycling and compost. This was really thoughtful. I met both of the hosts and they were super lovely and welcoming, as well as the chickens!
