The room was huge, warm and comfortable. Excellent shower! The location was pretty good for what I needed and had a great view of Hagley Park. Car parking was easy which is always welcome.

Communicating with the staff was next to impossible as the reception desk was often not occupied, and when it was English was not their first language, so trying to ask anything, make requests, etc. was extremely difficult. Trying to pay the bill was also a challenge with no one at reception and no one would answer the phone for several hours. Eventually found out they had just charged my card anyway, which was not what the booking stated, so that was frustrating.

The hotel was conveniently located close to Hagley Park and the Botanical Gardens. For me, it was one of the best spots for a stay—peaceful and not too crowded, yet still close to the main street. There were also restaurants on the ground floor and convenient stores nearby.

The pillowcase had a red mark on it, resembling blood or a stain, which made it seem like it hadn’t been changed. The towels were not replaced, and the bed was not made either when we went out.

No jug/ kettle in the room. Sky box was not plugged in and couldn't be as no power point.

Fridge actually froze the milk, noisy and needs to be replaced. No body wash in shower, should’ve been refilled and checked. Literally empty

Great location, very handy to the city, lovely and clean.

We didn't have any hand soap in the dispenser and the coffee mugs were no bigger than a small teacup. We asked for larger cups.

Breakfast was good, location was good

Not getting serviced until after 5pm, and having to ask for extra room key.

Bed and couch needs replacing. Bed went down on one side. Couch is very old and uncomfortable.

Beds are not comfortable, I stayed 6months ago and the stay was good, however this stay I stayed over 2 bookings, first room was awful, aircon as loud as a jet engine! Room 211, shower broken, didn’t make up the room or refresh the room. Noisy as it was on main rd. Room was filthy, I don’t recall it being so bad 6months ago. Then I moved under this booking, as I decided to stay the weekend (booked weeks earlier and was out of my cancellation period, otherwise I would have taken it) Room 213, much better aircon, not as noisy, bed a little better, but still hard and warped. Bathroom filthy, black stains on shower floor, shower head broken! I definitely won’t stay here again so run down, not sure if management changes have occurred, but definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Tried to email and prepay for business prior, no replies from multiple calls and emails, finally sorted in day if arrival. I think the hotel needs to conduct a massive deep clean, and update of beds and window furnishings to stop the broken curtains letting so much light through. Thanks 😁

We stayed for 3 nights but the room was not clean for those 4 days... no cleaning at all on those 3 days in a row. No change towels and the bathroom door cant be locked.

Location was great, staff were helpful, room was spacious and cozy.

There was an issue with the credit card machine. All my cards worked before and after paying for our stay. We tried 3 cards and all methods, and the machine still wouldnt work. We ended up doing a bank transfer. Other than that, the wifi was kind of weird. Any time I connected to wifi, other people were able to control functions on my phone.

Great location, looks for place to pick from for dinner or lunch. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean and tidy bed was comfortable . We really enjoyed our stay.
