How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything was as we expected
The easter bunny left everyone in the camp a small treat. Such a small token but it msg our day. We woke up to 2 eggs outside our cabin door.

The cabin I had would have been too small for two people with a bit of gear to sort. If you were just sleeping then ok for two

No towels & face flannels. Far away from toilets for night time use.
Very pleasant check in, even at 8.30 pm. Was there a breakfast? The bed was very comfortable, thank you. Lovely bedspread, nice linen. Very private. Car could be parked next to the room. Very clean toilet/shower block.

The walk to bathroom and kitchen facilities was over bumpy ground and quite dark.
The cabin had everything I might need in it and it was lovely to shut the world out. The heater kept it cosy. Lots of space just outside for my car too.

Staff come across as quite rude. We were staying for two nights, was going to leave our dog home but then saw on website pets were allowed. I rang up to confirm this and they said it’s fine if we pay a cleaning deposit. When we arrive the staff member has a go at me for not arranging the dog to stay, makes it seem like I really caused her a massive inconvenience. I had literally rung up the day before. Our dog stayed in our car (which was fine) but definitely mixed messages. We also couldn’t find the wifi password, she rudely says it’s in our room and we can’t miss it, could have just told us or shown where we can find it. Heaps of signs around the place in all capitals with a hundred different rules. Seems quite in your face and hard to relax.
Nice tidy accomodation. Good room and just what we needed for the weekend.

No hot water in the taps in the men's wash rooms Its a long way to the loo at 3am and raining - maybe some loos on the other side of the camp? Signage could be a problem, I went into Riverside Village first and tried to work my way through;

the bedside light was pretty to look at but of zero use to read a book, there's not much else to do, it would be really nice to have a suitable lamp please.
i didn't like the curtains, both sets on the windows were too long, one blowing over the tv set and the other blowing around on my head when i was sitting watching telly. Be great if they could be improved and make it a 10 out of 10 place.

The wifi was terrible. We booked this place looking at the wifi availability mainly but it was not at all working. Had to leave early morning as we had some work wich needed internet. Other than that there was nothing much to not like everything was really good. Just one thing that the staff notices and responses seemed a bit strict and less polite at times. Maybe that is what helps to keep the place as spotless and clean as it was but a little bit more friendlier response and notices will make a better experience.
We liked how fresh and clean the property was. The kitchen and bathrooms were well maintained and very clean.

Jug and cups no coffee, tea or milk. No idea if you had to go to kitchen to find them. We fortunately had our own, but others might not. Wifi is intermittent, gave up.Have stayed at others that all this is supplied and cheaper rate.
Clean tidy and great pitstop. Friendly people living there. Enjoyed our stay.
