How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The heater wasn’t really big enough to heat two rooms but it wasn’t freezing by any means.
John was exceptional, he is a lovely kind professional man - complete with yummy homemade biscuits The girls were sad they didn’t get to meet the cats tho

It could be perfect if we can have 2 bathrooms in the unit.
Vibe - truely an aunthentic small town. Location - just right next to the lake, walking distance to the supermarkets and bike rental. Kitchen - we have all we need. Home-made cookies - my kids enjoy them everyday. The host is so nice - she gave us cookies for the bus ride on the day we left.

It is a motel, not a 5 star hotel and was accurate to it. Very interesting carpet and minimal bathroom. All in working condition, just very minimal so don’t expect over the top. Heating seemed to be a bust, but there was a small plug in heater that we were able to set up and it was nice and toasty by morning.
The NICEST man checked us in, he was even expecting us and gave us cookies! We loved reading about the cats too. Assigned parking so we didn’t have to worry about searching for a spot and were able to drive up next to our unit to unload while it was raining.

The location was pretty good. It was one block off of the lake, so not much of a view. But very convenient to downtown.

The king bed was not so comfortable as we expected, we stayed a little bit with pain in the back, maybe is a bit old, but all in all we liked a lot.

Rooms are clean, enough space for a family of 4. So close to city center, parking was great, there’s a playground and a field where kids can run around free. We were greeted by John who offered some freshly home baked cookies. That was very sweet.

Although it was not winter it would have nice if the radiators weren't isolated as we were travelling from a warmer climate where the fan heater didn't really suffice.
Great location right near the lake and walking distance to the shops.

Will be great if all rooms are equipped with heater. I booked a three-bedroom house and one of the room has no heater but that room is near to the living room which we are fine.
The room is clean and newly renovated. Love the huge bathroom and the heater in the living room. Near to town and eatery.

The location is closed to the main street. it is quiet at night and the host was very friendly. Room is also clean, just a little cold during the winter as there is only 1 portable heater unit was given. Unit was clean and has all the kitchen cookware, plates, cutlery, boiler, toaster, fridge..

The size of the kitchen bench space was a little small, and the microwave was quite large for something that we didn't use. But otherwise it was great.
The room was clean, the fridge had an actual freezer (not just the mini freezer within the fridge). the parking space was huge, and the playground for the kids was excellent. The walk to town was perfectly spaced to allow a meander along the waterfront.
