Fantastic staff, they helped to get me a guide for the Mardi Himal trek. Also My guide Jiwan was the best, he helped a lot along the way and was great company through and through. Would highly recommend staying here and also getting a guide if you’re thinking of trekking:)

Very quiet hotel with the nicest staff I encountered during my travels in Nepal. This place is very close to the lakeside, there are many great shops and restaurants nearby. What makes that place very special, are the staff. All very helpful, accommodating, and they make you feel like a part of their family. I highly recommend this place.

The mother and father running the mountain house have been doing so for decades and truly know how to make it feel like home while having the comforts of a nice hotel. They helped with difficult logistics in a warm, familial, but professional manner, and served food made with care. The son gave us information about motorbiking in the area and took the time to talk in depth about Nepal’s culture. The rooms were large, clean, comfortable and with a good view. A/c to keep you cool and with a great location, I can’t recommend it enough!

Perfect place to stay in Pokhara before and after the Annapurna circuit. Large comfortable room that was really good value. On a quieter back street but still close enough to the lake and Main Street which felt ideal. The owner and his family are all so friendly and welcoming.

Great location, very peaceful place, friendly hosts and the cutest dog! We were going to stay initially for 1, 2 nights and ended up staying 5 after our trek. Best place to relax and re charge batteries after a long trek. Greta location in a quiet street but very close to restaurants and shops. Will definitely stay here again when in Pokhara :)

After completing a 5-day trek, Mountain House in Pokhara was exactly what we needed. The accommodation is warm, cozy, and welcoming—just as we remembered from past visits. The staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. It’s in a perfect location—just a short walk from the main street of Lakeside, yet tucked away enough to be wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Ideal for true relaxation. Hot and cold distilled water is available, which was a thoughtful touch after days on the trail. Overall, a great spot to unwind and enjoy the calm of Pokhara. Highly recommend for trekkers looking for comfort and tranquility.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Mountain House in Pokhara! We were warmly welcomed by the owner and his lovely family. Their friendliness and helpfulness made us feel completely at home. We stayed in a clean and cozy 3-bed room with own bathroom that was perfect for our group. The environment was quiet, comfortable, and just what we needed to relax before and after our trek. We really appreciated their quick response to our requests, and helped preparing breakfast early in the morning to make sure we were well-fed before heading out on our trek! The hostel is also connected to a trekking company, I’d highly recommend Mountain House to anyone looking for great accommodation and reliable trekking services in Pokhara. You won't be disappointed!

I really felt at Home at Mountain House - both at the place and with the family. The family is very friendly, professional and creates a Home-like atmosphere. They helped me arrange my trekking in the Annapurna-region with an amazing guide. The food is excellent, the location is ideal if you want to be close to all parts of Pokhara lakeside but still have some peace, and the prices Are very reasonable. I booked three nights, but ended up staying all the nights I had in Pokhara. I can honestly recommend this place, and I will be blessed to come back one day.

I had a nice stay at the mountain house. The room was spacious, the bed not too soft, not too hard. It is close to the lake. The food was very good and the staff very friendly. Really a good place in Pokhara! ☺️👍

Spacious, beautiful, full of greenery outside and light inside hotel with nice rooms, hot shower, comfortable beds, super tasty and filling breakfast available. I stayed at The Mountain House in Pokhara, affiliated with The Nepal Treks, and it felt like a home away from home. The place had such a warm vibe, and the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. I will definitely recommend it to my friends because it is not only a great place to stay in, but also offers great advice on what to do and how to manage all details related to your stay in Pokhara.
